I think they make the questions and time allowances easier for charity contestants. Othertimes you see similar level players be given 55 seconds for 100k. He won with a 15 second gap, but it would have been much closer if they played normally, eg 55s vs 60s.
To be fair, regular chase contestants are far more likely to be into quizzing than celebrity contestants so you'd get a lot of failures otherwise. Though in this case, they already know he's a quizzer.
Completely agree, of course it is nice seeing the money go to charity, but that isn't always going to happen. What's more ridiculous is seeing chasers essentially deny tens of thousands of pounds go to charity when they lose... Of course they don't want that result either; so no doubt every now and then, celebrity contestants must win big to offset the depressing losses. Chasers are just doing their role, and its up to ITV to provide them with the difficulty of the questions and times, so it is outside of their control.
Imagine a celebrity on a regular show of the chase and answered the normal questions. Why should celebrities go on quiz shows when they earn way more money than Normal people?
Also a seriously funny bloke, if you'll forgive the oxymoron. Had me chortling with his Extras cameos. Just have to add that I had a tear in my eye at the end. What a good man.
I know he would still have won, but since it was for charity you can tell they gave him a high cash prize which is reasonably easy to get so they were very generous in their offers
you and 55+ people that liked this are NPC's that'll never have anything better than dead end jobs to compliment their miserable dead end lives. every teacher and principal that ever told all of you that "you'll never amount to anything" were right. imagine just admitting to the whole world how much of a defeatist loser attitude and mentality you have to the whole world by saying something so stupid

15 seconds? That’s HUUUGE! I could have won with a 15 second advantage. This looked more like the Chasers donating to charity than a legitimate contest.
Very good but not the most difficult questions. I'm not a quizzer at all and I got 3 out of 4 of his opening questions...the same as him. In the final chase he got 9 out of 11. I got 10 out of 11. ( Maybe under pressure I may have blurted out "brain" before thinking for the "timpanic" answer...who knows. I'm not saying under those circumstances I could do it but objectively they were not tough questions.

He once did a singing gig without a microphone infront of about 140 people, pretty impressive as it was a 1000 capacity venue so the crowd was pretty spread out. He's also been known to clean out people's gutters.
Yeah I don’t know what they mean by that 🤔🤔 one is testing your knowledge against various chasers while the other has you answering general knowledge questions and then putting big counters into a massive slot machine - unless they mean the questions are too easy
