- Fr. Brian Fitzpatrick, from a young age, harbored a deep passion for science and math, envisioning a career in pharmacy or medicine. Despite initially pursuing medicine and securing a place in medical school, the thought of priesthood lingered in his mind, although he wasn't prepared to embrace celibacy at the time. However, while happily practicing as a doctor, he sensed a persistent calling towards something greater, prompting him to seriously consider the path that God might be guiding him towards.

I finished med school in Spain in 1983. I was born with strabismus and despite three surgeries I never could overcome the deficiencies caused by alternating divergent strabismus! I tried to pass the ECFMG but being a timed exam I failed repeatedly I’m 76 yo now and I fell back on my degree from college and taught Spanish! I’m retired now living in a shack in calif! I love you’re success in life! Your life is a beacon of hope ! God bless you!
