I'm a natural redhead but I'm part black and I have very warm toned skin shout out to all the black redheads
I am a redhead, and I appreciate videos and tips for gingers.
In my experience, the best way to find out what works best with a person's hair shade, eye color, and skin tone is just to try things out during free time.
I was told all my life that Reds had to stick to brown mascara and eyeliner and "no makeup" makeup looks... Nothing could be further from the truth.
Don't be afraid to try glam makeup, carbon lashes, and red lipstick! I've just recently stepped out of my box, and I'm learning that I don't have to be limited to light looks.

I also used to use brown mascara and either brown or raisin eyeliner, I started wearing black lately and I'm surprised how much more I like the darker makeup on me than I used to. I'm also thinking about trying grey eyeliner!
Yay! Just found your channel, I've been on the lookout for fellow redhead RUclipsrs. I made a similar video and it's really nice to hear a second opinion. Some of your tips differed from what works for me, but that just shows how different some shades can look on each redhead - I think a lot of people think it's a 'one size fits all' complexion. Orangey red lipsticks look really weird on me, I have to go for blue undertones. But anyway, great video, thanks for taking the time to make it! I've subscribed :D

I liked your video and I agreed with a lot of what you said, especially showing freckles! There aren't enough redheads on RUclips.
That being said...
I disagree on a few things.
1. Just because you have red hair doesn't mean you're cool toned. Wearing cool toned makeup if you have a warm skin tone will make you look pink. Make sure that the makeup you wear is cohesive with your undertone.
2. Don't go orange on your brows! I find a brown with a warm undertone looks more natural as opposed to something that is red or orange.
3. Cool toned blush often looks great on redheads! It's all about your undertone. If you have a lot of pinks and/or blues in your skin, you will look amazing in a cool mauve or a soft pink.
4. PASTELS ARE YOUR FRIEND!! There are few things I love as much as a soft and sweet eyeshadow on the lid of a ginger. Go for it! Just make sure you balance it out with a transition color in the crease. Baby pink is probably my favorite eyeshadow on a redhead.
These are just my opinions! I'm not trying to tear you apart and I'm not trying to hate.

I believe I said that most times redheads will be cool toned, not always. Also, I obviously meant a brow pencil with orange or red tones to it, I've never seen an eyebrow pencil with straight up orange pigment!
For the other two, I would just say those are more your personal preference. Like I said, those were just my opinions and experiences. Everyones different!

Thank you, great video! . It took me years to figure out most lightest shades were way too pink on me. I'm neutral toned and N1-N2 in Mac's face and body is perfect for me.
Yes! I've been using the Dreamtone to mix into my foundation, it's wonderful

i am a red head with green eyes and my biggest problem is that you cannot see my eyebrows amd that every foundation i get looks like there is no diffrance to my face and covers up nothing x
Well you definitely want to invest in a good eyebrow pencil to bring out your brows! Mine are pretty non-existent as well :) and pick up a good full coverage foundation! Marc Jacobs Remarcable Full Coverage is my favorite- pretty pricey, but very effective!

The warm and bronze, copper etc… eye colours work so well on you because like me your eyes are blue. It makes the blue in our eyes pop! great with our hair colour as well. Enjoy being ginger and having blue eyes is very rare and special.

Try Redhead Revolution My HOLY GRAIL!!! Have the beset ginger brow and lash products!!! NYX has great brow stuff. If you are ever in the UK try Primark, they have great super affordable makeup. Because, they are in the UK, they often have ginger friwndly products as we are chock a block with gingers!!!

I love to see more fellow gingers on youtube i have auburn hair and brown eyes and my undertone is more like neutral / warm , i have alot of redness but my undertone is more like yellowish , i like the tips for the different kind of redheads that we are.

I actually use taupe on my brows. My bows are a really odd color....they are more auburn than orange so if I used an orange eyebrow color it looked ridiculous but then I couldn't use brown either. A lady at Sephora ended up finding me the taupe shade and it has matched perfectly ever since.
Thats a good solution! I use taupe sometimes when I use a more orange brow gel, that looks the most natural for me :)
You mentioned using a soft brown mascara. Could you recommend a few brands and shade numbers.

I believe ABH makes a lighter warm shade than Caramel, you could always try that!

What do you use for brows? I just looked through your videos and you never made a video about anything you talk about in this video. There are no brow or foundation videos etc. Love the color on your brows and would love to know what you use. Thank you in advance
I do use hot pink lip stick my lips because my lips are already pink so it makes my cheeks more pink. it's kinda cute it works for me though.
Thats why I love makeup- you can do whatever you want! If it looks good on you I encourage it :)

My eyebrows used to look like the u.k crisp watsits and now they are mostly brown
I just recently found out that colourpop has two eyebrow colors specifically for redheads. There is a gel and a liner of each color. The gels are $6 and the liners are $5.
Haven't tried them yet, but they look great! I've herd pretty decent things about the formula 😊

It's so hard to find good info for redheads! Few and far between. Now that things are finally showing up more, I'm entering the dreaded area that I'm not young and I'm not old. So I'm needing to learn all new tried and true methods for someone that's starting that voyage of life now. I may be almost 40 bit I certainly don't look it, (one word...SUNSCREEN!) and want to avoid that as long as possible #youngatheart. Please give us all the info you possibly can for us ginger sisters!

I love watching videos about tips for redheads, but it never really helps me. I'm not as pale as a lot of other redheads and I have obvious red hair, but its also kind of a brown color. So finding a good foundation, or something to fill in my brows is so hard.
Well I have easy solutions for those problems! You can always maybe pick the second lightest foundation shade? And for your brows, you can always use two products. Some days I like to fill in my brows (lightly) first with the It Cosmetics Universal Brow pencil, and then go over them with a more orange tone. Sometimes customization is good for achieving a perfect look!
