I’m enjoying your videos very much. I am in Gippsland and we have had rain non stop for 48 hours now, feel like we are going to float away. Congratulations on baby. What potting soil do you use for the carrots?
Oh you’ve been hit with all of the elements in Gippsland recently, fires now flood risk! Fingers crossed it settles soon! For the carrots I used a premium potting mix with a small amount of compost. Good luck!
Congratulations on your little sprout! Your garden is looking great, too. I love that you’re still learning and experimenting, but you are way ahead of me in the variety you grow that I learn heaps from your channel. Our weather is similar, but Canberra is currently experiencing another cold snap so I’ve still got a lot under cover. I keep baulking at growing cabbage, sprouts, etc because they need a lot of room and a long growing season. It’ll be interesting to see if your Brussels sprouts get any bigger. Thanks for the garden tour!
Glad to hear you find them helpful Liz! I’ve gradually learnt not to bother growing things that I don’t actually love eating, and to grow more of the things I eat lots of. Hense why my salad collection is growing! And I’ve got beans / tomatoes / capsicums galore in prep for summer. You might have better luck with Brussels sprouts than me, I think mine went in a bit too late!
It is so good to find a local gardener for some guidance. Yes I hit that subscribe button as soon as I saw you were Melbourne based. I have just started on my small inner burb garden. Combination of raised beds and in the ground. We will see how it goes. PS congrats on your new baby news.
🤩 wow everything is growing so well. You are going to having a bumper season with those new raised beds! Best surprise of all that the whole time you have been growing those little seedlings you have also been growing a baby -Congratulations! ❤
Thanks Kimberly! Can’t way to see how the new beds turn out. Hopefully bambino 3 loves fresh veg from the garden as much as his or her siblings do! Best of luck with your own garden!
Congratulations Christie, to you, your Husband and Family. I look forward to seeing you in some stunning maternity outfits while you report on the news.
Thanks Jenna! Some of my plant babies were dealt a blow when one of my greenhouses fell over in the wind this morning 😭 thankfully I think I saved most of them!
Congratulations to you and your husband on your pregnancy. All the best. 😀
Thank you!
