Bro I remember me and my friend freaking out when Eric came in and charged in to save nick screaming, it shows if played right Eric is one of the best characters
It's kinda sad to think that if Rachel is already a vampire and you save Nick, then Eric is pretty much screwed, cause Rachel brings him down with her, heroic death.
I feel like out of the characters, Eric when you play his "Good Route" is my favourite. I love Jason and Salim as much as the next guy but his lost love story is honsetly just tragic and eveyrone treats him like shit for no reason. I just feel bad for him
I got the Oorah & Let Me Have A Go! trophies together as they both share a moment near the end. Eric and Nick need to be on good terms together and with the rest except towards Rachel, and viceversa. Merwin can be killed at the first opportunity by succeeding all QTEs. Also I didn’t play this by choosing all Head decisions. For me Oorah was the most challenging trophy to get and had to make 4 playthroughs to achieve it. THE BRIEFING: Rachel tells Nick to put their relationship on ice Eric choose Apologetic; Eric advises he will call air support (important not to fail this one as it negates you from having a 50% relationship with Nick, which affects his reply when Rachel makes her decision in THE ANCIENT ONE - I made this mistake and wasted 3 hours); choose Excited; Eric accepts the use of white phosphorus (though I’m not sure it’s obligatory to start this conversation) PAZUZU - choose Impatient; choose Clinical; choose Confused THE TEMPLE - choose Frustrated; choose Spiteful; choose Resistant; choose Respectful; choose Say Nothing; choose Sorrowful; choose Solemn BREAKING UP - Eric cuts the rope when he has the first chance SLAYER - Salim kills the first monster with the stake (mostly for Let Me Have A Go! trophy); as Nick choose Foreboding & Restrained; decisions to keep Nick cool with Eric; chooses Caution when they are entering another part of the cave THE TRUCE - Nick is Supportive of Salim’s decision, then succeeds all his QTEs until he kills the monster with Salim (mostly for Let Me Have A Go! trophy); when Eric and Jason appear choose Reassure (at this point an argument is inevitable but at least Salim doesn’t kill Eric) BLOODBATH: Jason instructs Nick to place bombs (whether to the side or in the middle is up to you but it’s vital you remember where you put them as this affects THE ASSAULT and, in the end, the achievement itself - I put them on the side) (now I included this part just as a reference but can’t promise it’s a necessity: Clarice will kill Eric when he tries to escape after the big battle during THE ASSAULT so either Abandon her immediately or kill her when given the chance before the big battle) as Rachel during the first part of the conversation choose Appreciative twice, Amused, Curious and Intimate; when Clarice shows the first sign of turning choose Reassuring, Stern, Doubtful and Solemn; finally choose to Abandon her THE SIGNAL - when this chapter starts Nick & Eric should have a 50% relationship; here just do whatever is needed and try not to fail QTEs THE ASSAULT - Rachel says nothing; Rachel Retreats instead of firing with the weapon; Nick advises to keep to the center so that Rachel and Eric avoid the mines since I put them on the sides (or to keep running to the side if you decided to make them in the middle); Eric chooses to get Dar and Salim’s help THE HORROR - Nick uses Crucifix; Salim shoots Rachel’s creature; Rachel saves Eric (mostly for the Let Me Have A Go! trophy) THE ANCIENT ONE - when this chapter starts Nick & Eric should have a 60% relationship; succeed all QTEs and heartbeats against Kurum or Balathu; when Rachel needs to decide she says nothing; Eric says nothing; then if Nick says ‘we just got our asses dumped’ it’s finally settled, however if he says ‘you should have stayed home’ and you have below 50% relationship the achievement is lost STRANGE EONS - either Rachel kills herself by white phosphorous (if you decided Eric should allow it back in THE BRIEFING) or Jason has to kill her (order him and he complies or fail the QTE against him) THE VAULT - (for the Oorah trophy) Eric should give the UV light to Nick; (for the Let Me Have A Go! trophy) Salim must fail to notice the monster hatching; Nick goes left, fails first heartbeat, chooses Retreat, succeeds first QTE and fails second QTE forcing him to use the light… and you get the trophy! SEMPER FI - Jason goes to rescue Salim but they fail all QTE… and you get the trophy!
I'm not reading all that, because I already got both trophies and it's too long of a read, but I'll still give a like anyway because it looks well written.
Jason and Salim must have good relationship. When Salim stays behind before reaching the elevator, Jason can decide to go back and help Salim. You can have Jason and Salim killed by failing the QTEs.
SPOILERS (asking for advice/clarification for those who have beat the game) Alright, so I finished the game, and had 4 out of the 5 characters survive, with Nick getting his neck snapped after the detonation because Eric ignored his call for help. I tried to keep everyone's relationship high but Eric and Nick's relationship was just below half. Is that the reason why he left Nick to die and if so, were there ways to increase their relationship?
@@โทนี่นะค่ะพร่อง I believe in 2nd chapter when Nick and Rachel are in private you have to choose the choice with head/brain symbol (I do not remember what was wrote there but it was something like "I can not tell him right now"), it will make your relationship worse.
It won't validate because the trophy has a very specific requirement to win, technically this dialogue only exists for the two of them so much that they console their friends' losses, so in addition to having to kill Rachel, Jason and Salim have to maintain a relationship with Nick and Eric.

THE BRIEFING:
Rachel tells Nick to put their relationship on ice
Eric choose Apologetic; Eric advises he will call air support (important not to fail this one as it negates you from having a 50% relationship with Nick, which affects his reply when Rachel makes her decision in THE ANCIENT ONE - I made this mistake and wasted 3 hours); choose Excited; Eric accepts the use of white phosphorus (though I’m not sure it’s obligatory to start this conversation)
PAZUZU - choose Impatient; choose Clinical; choose Confused
THE TEMPLE - choose Frustrated; choose Spiteful; choose Resistant; choose Respectful; choose Say Nothing; choose Sorrowful; choose Solemn
BREAKING UP - Eric cuts the rope when he has the first chance
SLAYER - Salim kills the first monster with the stake (mostly for Let Me Have A Go! trophy); as Nick choose Foreboding & Restrained; decisions to keep Nick cool with Eric; chooses Caution when they are entering another part of the cave
THE TRUCE - Nick is Supportive of Salim’s decision, then succeeds all his QTEs until he kills the monster with Salim (mostly for Let Me Have A Go! trophy); when Eric and Jason appear choose Reassure (at this point an argument is inevitable but at least Salim doesn’t kill Eric)
BLOODBATH:
Jason instructs Nick to place bombs (whether to the side or in the middle is up to you but it’s vital you remember where you put them as this affects THE ASSAULT and, in the end, the achievement itself - I put them on the side)
(now I included this part just as a reference but can’t promise it’s a necessity: Clarice will kill Eric when he tries to escape after the big battle during THE ASSAULT so either Abandon her immediately or kill her when given the chance before the big battle) as Rachel during the first part of the conversation choose Appreciative twice, Amused, Curious and Intimate; when Clarice shows the first sign of turning choose Reassuring, Stern, Doubtful and Solemn; finally choose to Abandon her
THE SIGNAL - when this chapter starts Nick & Eric should have a 50% relationship; here just do whatever is needed and try not to fail QTEs
THE ASSAULT - Rachel says nothing; Rachel Retreats instead of firing with the weapon; Nick advises to keep to the center so that Rachel and Eric avoid the mines since I put them on the sides (or to keep running to the side if you decided to make them in the middle); Eric chooses to get Dar and Salim’s help
THE HORROR - Nick uses Crucifix; Salim shoots Rachel’s creature; Rachel saves Eric (mostly for the Let Me Have A Go! trophy)
THE ANCIENT ONE - when this chapter starts Nick & Eric should have a 60% relationship; succeed all QTEs and heartbeats against Kurum or Balathu; when Rachel needs to decide she says nothing; Eric says nothing; then if Nick says ‘we just got our asses dumped’ it’s finally settled, however if he says ‘you should have stayed home’ and you have below 50% relationship the achievement is lost
STRANGE EONS - either Rachel kills herself by white phosphorous (if you decided Eric should allow it back in THE BRIEFING) or Jason has to kill her (order him and he complies or fail the QTE against him)
THE VAULT - (for the Oorah trophy) Eric should give the UV light to Nick; (for the Let Me Have A Go! trophy) Salim must fail to notice the monster hatching; Nick goes left, fails first heartbeat, chooses Retreat, succeeds first QTE and fails second QTE forcing him to use the light… and you get the trophy!
SEMPER FI - Jason goes to rescue Salim but they fail all QTE… and you get the trophy!

As much as you forced Eric to be good/nice, he looks so dead instead when talking to Nick.
Mostly because Rachel is dead

Make Rachel reject both or go with Eric.
