With the WWE license in question and Panini not putting out any new products, and Upper Deck fumbling AEW's previous release (AEW Metal), wrestling collectors have spent much of 2023 without any new releases. Today we're checking out the latest from Upper Deck with 2022 Upper Deck AEW Allure, and talking about the landscape of wrestling cards.

Just pulled a Bryan Danielson 16 bit card out of a Walmart blaster.
QT is with AEW through the end of the year. Hardy’s voiced frustrations but never asked for release. Believed to be storyline driven for a heel turn
Damn. No more Panini WWE? Those last few sets were fire. I want to enjoy AEW’s cards, but lack of autos and just silly subsets really turns me off.
Panini updated us on the UFC side that Jan 3rd we will have Immaculate for 2023. Beyond that I have no idea, but I am in the know (was given a leaked pic) that Topps is printing 2024 UFC Chrome. I have a picture of the foil (from a friend who works there) they are printing it!
I ripped a box earlier in the week & pulled jeff Jarrett red rainbow auto guess I'm one of lucky ones to hit an auto
The 16bit cards in this set are amazing. Would love a Jack Hughes 16bit hockey one, but they go north of $600.

If AEW is going to have so many factions, they should have started a faction war long ago.
Cm Punk wwe cards are going to be a crazy chase. Wwe and ufc being under the same management makes sense they'd stay together.
What happened to Upperdeck? In the early 90s they were the company to collect, now they have Hockey and AEW? Might be an interesting video to do their fall from grace.
I like panini but knowing they were not going to have the license for long and the fact that the first prizm set was so expensive was a turn off. I have got a few singles over the last two years but waiting for WWE to go back to topps. I agree AEW sets and Upper Deck in general are really hit or miss for me. I buy some Marvel and hockey cards but it feels like for every set that upper deck comes out with that I like there are two other products I don't care for.
I always find it interesting that if 1 persona bombs, they just keep trying shit till one hopefully sticks...

Man the only 2 names that I recognize are Rick flair n sting... I use to absolutely use to love wrestling back wen I thought it was real n before all the deep story mode... I think the whole story mode really watered down wrestling... I know slot of people will disagree but that's how I feel... My favorite wrestler was the ultimate warrior...

Allure is not my favorite set in hockey, think there is better UD sets they could do.
Almost certain there was a settlement between WWe and panini and they’re done wrestling wise.
the cards look nice and i tried to get into it when they first came out even with the big names i know but a lot of their characters are just corny to me. the names and everything...idk maybe they can win me back over

Wwe red hott lol 😂wwe is so damn boring idk what you are talking about. I legit feel asleep during survivor series and had to change it to collision and glad I did cuz those matches were way better. There’s been a lot of pics of people watching collision during survivor series. Cuz it was so boring.

AEW needs to work on booking, it seems like title matches are random and there's a new #1 contender match every week with no backstory. The wrestling itself is far better compared to wwe which has matches that are barely watchable outside of ppv. The WWE storylines are weak and hard to get behind unless your under 13 so they can appeal to children for merch sales and to appease advertisers

AEW has always been horrible besides what punk and Mjf were doing. I think people just can’t defend it anymore now that even Mjf is watered down. As for the cards, I’m bummed wwe is going to fanatics. Panini wwe is miles better than topps wwe.
The first mistake was buying anything AEW based 😂 they’re in the mud as a company rn
