Nice video. I was a little surprised you were expecting more smoke from an *Irish* whiskey. There are plenty of peated whiskeys from Scotland... but it's not a common thing in Ireland. (Connemara being a rare exception)
I was thinking the same thing. Also- Proper 12 is young, I believe it just hits that 3 year requirement. It'll be interesting to see if they release age statement batches down the road, because it would be nice to try a 7 or a 12 to see if there's any more complexity to this otherwise simple whiskey.
I think we should have a class discussion here about how homeless people wouldn't exist if people like you didn't need unnecessary content produced by rich people like this. I mean depends on the glass and expectations. I though it was a great on the rocks sipper it breaks it up a little better. That being said I’ve had 100 dollar bottles of bourbon and Irish whiskey that were way worse and I’ve had 20 dollar bottles that were better. I’m kind of curious to see how dustins bourbon is especially since it’s a hosh posh of bourbons blended together from other distilleries.

I had mixed feelings about Proper 12 as well. I couldn’t wait to finish the bottle, just so I didn’t feel like I wasted my money and went straight back to my friend Jameson. Not impressed with Conor’s whiskey

I work at a liquor store and the teramana is the only 1 of the 3 people buy again. The aviation gin used to be more expensive but I think they lowered the price so people would try it.

I found it tasted a lot like Bushmills, good smooth whiskey but Jameson is much nicer in my opinion.

Irish whiskey doesn't usually have smoke to it, as we don't use peat in the process. There are a few exceptions such as Connemara peated.
If you want smoke in your Irish whiskey ya gotta buy the Scottish version - Scotch 😂

I actually found Aviation to be less botanical heavy than something like Tanqueray. I thought it was pretty good though.
