The wireless dongle and mics DO NOT COME WITH the unit as sold. But it does come with a wired mic. I really like em. About the best of its type out there.
Hey Howard, thanks so much. You are a life saver. So how difficult would the swap be from the old battery to the new one? Any advice? You also mentioned that this is for the MPA40 BT?
It's easy, just 4 screws and sliding out the old battery, sliding the cables off the terminals, and putting in the new battery and sliding the cables on the new battery terminals. Good luck.
Hello, I'm planing on buying one of these but I have a question: Does the wireless system on the speaker work only with Behringer wireless microphones or can it be used with other wireless systems? For example the Samson Stage XPD1 Headset that also uses the USB connection? Is it compatible? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks!
Hi and thanks for the message. It will only work with Behringer wireless microphones. (of course you could always use a stand alone wireless system and plug it in, but as for using the USB port it will not work with another system/brand.)
We will try to get a DB meter and do some testing. Inside will usually be louder because the sound will reflect, outside will be quieter (in most cases). This item we feel is perfect for weddings, small groups, etc... We did a small demo outside with about 100 people, speaking came through clear even with traffic noise near by. Very cool product since you can just pick it up and move it anywhere you want.
Thank You for the INFO! Now, are You sure the WIRELESS mikes work alongside the CHANNEL INPUTS, because all the other reviewers claim the contrary, that it does not. And one more thing: Does the BLUETOOTH utility use up CHANNEL 3 or can you also run both the bluetooth and CHANNEL 3 INPUT? Thank You in advance for Your kind answer :)
Can you play music via Bluetooth and use a wired mic simultaneously? I'm looking to street perform and am wondering if this would be a suitable option.
Hi. So yes you can run 4 at a time but here's the catch. If you have 2 wireless and 2 wired each channel share a volume. You can think of it as Channel 1 volume controls (#1 wireless and #1 wired). Channel 2 volume controls (#2 wireless and #2 wired). SO there would be no way to have individual volumes. Depending on the mic you use could cause one mic to be much louder than the other. There are "sensitivity" settings on the wireless mics that you could use to try to "match" the input gain but it's not really meant for it and can cause other issues. Feel free to give us a call here at Gelb Music and we can discuss further. (650) 365-8878
Hello, on medium to higher levels I’ve noticed the audio fades in and out. Some song goes low then high as is some one was playing with the volume. Even when fully charged or plugged in. The battery life is awesome though. It lasts forever. I’ve had this speaker for about a year. Any idea what causes this Audio fading in and out. Thanks.
Hi a2thewax, Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your speaker. I haven't heard of that problem before. I'd try contacting behringer's support people. Here's the link: www.musictri.be/support/behringer/askquestion Hopefully they can help figure out what's causing the problem.
GelbMusic thanks for the reply. I read a two others reviews on Amazon that they were having the same issues. I’m going to contact them. Thank you again.
I don't see a reason it would not work, Bluetooth does not vary between phones but since we are just a music store there is no real way to test "every phone". I doubt there would be any issues unless your phone just doesn't support Bluetooth.
i have used mine with a few different samsung phones an iphone and various different tablets and even a stand alone bluetooth transmitter and all worked great. its a great little unit
Hi! I have two of these speakers. The battery died one one, and I need a replacement. The Behringer USA customer service number doesn't work, and they are not responding to emails even after a month. I need to know if this battery has F1 or F2 terminals so I can purchase on Amazon. Also, this is rated 5ah, but could I use a battery with more capacity, say 7ah? Please let me know about those terminals on the battery. Thanks!
+Howard Roark who did you buy the speakers from? I would contact the retailer and have them help you. I'll see if we can get you a contact at Behringer but I would start with the retailer you purchased the item from.
+GelbMusic I found the battery on Amazon, and purchased two of them for $28 and a SLA charger to maintain the one that won't be in immediate use. Doesn't really matter if the terminals are f1 or f2 (the included Behringer battery has one of each) because the batteries come with adapters for either terminal size. Nice, cheap batteries ;)
Hi Howard, I was wondering if you can provide me with the Amazon link in order for me to purchase a replacement battery for my Behringer PA System? Please assist.
Hi Howard, hope all is well. I was wondering if some type of adapter is available in order to charge an additional replacement battery without installing it into my MPA40BT speaker. That way if i get the full 12 hours of playtime from one battery I can easily just insert another charged battery to keep the party going. LOL Please let me know what you think. Thanks
Which Freeplay unit? You will probably notice that the Freeplay has effects the MPA40BT does not but has USB for wireless. Older Freeplays have 10 hour battery, newer are 15 like the MPA40BT. Both are similar, not sure on the overall weight and size difference. Feel free to call us to discuss both (650) 365-8878.
Is it loud? Well that is a difficult question to answer since everybody has a different opinion of what "loud" is... Basically this is great for meetings, small coffee shop gigs, outdoor announcements (small weddings, baseball, etc..) but nothing that would work great with say a live drummer or a club. It's 40 watts, 6" speaker so take it for what it is...that being said it does get quite "loud". The beauty of this PA is the ability to pick up it up and put it anywhere easily.
One of the few videos with some sound examples. The other ones are more or less a video version of the brochure.
Wish I bought this model. I bought behringer because it's loud and music sounds exceptionally good.
The wireless dongle and mics DO NOT COME WITH the unit as sold. But it does come with a wired mic. I really like em. About the best of its type out there.
Does this speaker have a good bass response to play music with good sub bass?
thank you for the vital infos in short. especially the difference of the PRO version, which obviously is only physical.
Admire your honesty!
Hi, thanks for the video..I am planning to buy a Yamaha electronic drums...can I connect the drums to use this as an amp?
hello, some said the limitor work too much .. is it right on full track electronics music with strong bass and kick ? otherwise nice product. cheers
Does it have to be used with a Behringer wireless mic or can it be used with a Shure wireless ear hook mic? Ty.
Wondering if someone knows where to find a battery replacement when the moment comes?
So the difference between this version vs the pro is only the wheels and the is 50 euros cheaper ?

Don't know if You can, Bit You can use The RCA port at The same time as mic
Do you thunk is it good for busking on streets with a guitar and mic? :)
how may AH BATTERY In the speaker please ?? what kind of battery is it ? is it Fusion Lithium Batteries or led acid ? some info would be great help .
The replacement battery for the MPA40BTR is a LEAD rechargeable battery.
Hey GelbMusic, did you say that you could run 4-channels on this if you go 2 wireless and 2 wired? I'm hearing mixed things about this function.

@@trtdude82 some people said: speaker have a limitor that work too much. Electronic music with strong bass, kick will pump ? it's ok for a instrument.

Hi! Does it have a line-out port?
Hi - no line out.
Can I have a Electronic Mandolin, a Wire Mic and the the Bluetooth the plug in and working together?
It should work, you have two Mic/Line inputs and Bluetooth/Aux as 3rd input.
Nice review! Is this device suitable for karaoke?
Yes it would work for Karaoke but you would need the tracks and player.
