Yeah, both Aunt Becky and Fernando should've done a better job convincing the kids to do the right thing. I know it can be easier said than done for some. But as the adults, you don't have a choice. Otherwise, you're allowing the kids to potentially wreck their lives - which doesn't make you a great (or even good) person.

Fuller House is one of the few reboots that actually managed to capture the spirit of the original show. I feel like so many TV shows are scared to do these plots now, but that's what made kids shows in the 80s and 90s so great. They actually taught us real lessons we were going to encounter while growing up like drinking, drugs, sex, domestic abuse, eating disorders... Kids shows today are too fluffy! They act like pre-teens and teenagers are small children that need things dumbed down. They are much smarter and in tune to this stuff then we realize!
Watch the rest of the episode she realizes that what's important is Jackson is okay. She also realizes that Jackson will have issues later that he will not be comfortable talking to her about. She then thanks Fernando for being there for Jackson but still grounds the latter for 2 weeks.

It's the equivalent of community service. I do Meals on Wheels at least once a week, and it has helped me gain perspective. I was new to where I live and didn't know a lot of people aside from my parents, aunt, and uncle. A few months later, I started MoW, and I have been at it for eight months and counting. Volunteering would be the best medicine for Jackson.

My husband counsels teen boys. He told me this very thing. Boys don't always want to tell their moms everything. Its good for them to find a male role model who can guide them. He grew up with a single mom. She did the best she could by him and his siblings but there were things he never told her because he needed a man to talk to. I honestly think Fernando should have told her. DJ has every right to know what her son is doing. Ramona was responsible in getting Jackson out of there. But Fernando telling DJ was not responsible. Keeping secrets from Parents is not right, especially where underage drinking is concerned. Jackson needed to learn the consequences of his actions.

Did anyone notice that this is the same and full house but instead of the older sibling being the smartest the the middle child is smarter one and with Jackson and Ramona they are basically di and kimmy but switch Jackson in the dumb one so he is kimmy and Ramona is di the smart one with common sense
Aren’t they going to tell him how his grandmother died in a car accident because she was hit by a drunk driver. That will teach him a lesson to never drink again essentially when he’s driving in his car or at a bar with friends before he drives home one night and he could hit a car and kill the person he hit because he was stupid and went to a bar and got so drunk that he couldn’t see and hit a car and killed the person he hit.
