i dont want to be that guy but technically music is a drug...one that is by far less harmfull however it can make you spiral into depression with the right sad music...also your brain releases dopamine what most drugs do....

Man I feel like us Millennials.... and I hate referring to myself as that. We are Generation Y. 'Millennial' leaves such a bad taste in your mouth. And....to be honest....the kind of vibe I get from it, just doesn't match the kind of lives we experienced. Whether or not you are an older GenY or a younger GenY.... we all share a lot of the same memories. I have some incredible conversations with friends to co-workers to total and complete strangers about life. It was so much fun JUST BEING a kid and playing outside for hours. Looking at picture albums with my mom of all the photographs she took on our camera of our family and our growing up. That was one of my favorites. Along with watching home videos. And as I write this, it honestly pains me a bit because so many of those captured memories now are beside my memories. Memories of captured memories. I still hold out hope that maybe, they are in my mothers basement and tbst they were not in the storage unit she lost or thrown out by my dad - because he hated her and she loved to make photo albums and throwing away things she loved made him feel better. I wonder wtf is wrong with people who and when they act our of anger towards another whom they share children with, and in that display of hate - the blood bleeds the longest and slowly change to scars for the kids... but that goes unnoticed because at least watching your parents sometimes quite literally go to war with each other, sometimes the only way you get to soend time with one of them is by helping them make your mom or dads life harder. Somewhere in between all of that, you might begin to hate one parent. Not because the pqrent didnt love you, but because you somehow ended up believing that you should hate that parent because they are some one who doesnt deserve love - from you or anyone at all. And so you might begin to think IF only.... and now all those pills or drinks opposing parent drowns in? Well, together you burn another bridge between a fullfilling life for yourself and your parent. Saddest part? At this point in them you have no idea this is happening, but you better believe your parent does. It doesnt matter how many lies they told themselves, they know it abd when you one day are qise enough you will know they know it every time they can never really look you in the eyes. Every time you feel your soul crawl back up inside you empty because all the love you felt growing up just....isn't....there. For some is never was. Man, that is the worst sin IMO. Having children is hard, believe me....i know. I have 2 of my own now and another on the way. One thing i will never do is allow for an opportunity for them to feel any pains i felt or any of the pain many i know have experienced. Im not naive, i know i cannot control many things, but i can control myself and how i love. And that, has a lot of power over my childrens lives and well-being. I already have and will make mistakes. I can admit it. Hell, who tf is perfect? Being wise doesnt mean you dont make mistakes, it just means you make your mistaks count for something. If you cannot find a lesson in your mistake, it likely becomes a habit.
Now I'll get back with the nostalgia....Cassette tapes and Disney VHS tapes to CDs and limewire. From Nick Jr, to Nick at Nite. When kids cartoons on cartoon network were worth watching, and something you can and want to remember.
Though I will admit, Disney Pixar has some movies as of late, that are so good words don't do them justice in review. Movies like, "Soul" - are an experience. So, if you have not yet....do yourself a favor and watch it. I know I got off topic, but there is a point. While it is absolutely wonderful those kinds of movies are out there. Is amazing! I love the idea of my children watching "Soul" and in their young minds fantasizing about their passions and living their dreams and finding a deeper meaning to life. Rather then dreaming of being someones prince or princess.... Thus, growing up with the belief that dreaming is something to leave behind with your childhood skin when it sheds. Because dreams and dreamers are silly just like a child whose mind believes he can gain it, hushed by the grown up who never became it. So-yeah....the mental expansion going on at the mega mass level is great when it comes to that.
Downside is like - we are over freaking loaded! There is so much out there, so much to sort thru and choose from. While sometimes it has its advantages, it is easy to get lost. It might be nice knowing there are others who share your feelings, but that doesn't do much for loneliness when what your soul really needs is love. And it isn't always self love that is missing. You can be a very whole individual, we were still meant to be together with others. It is in our DNA.
