Hi, Do you (or buddies) have any photos of the King's Rd or Chelsea from the era you lived there? I organized to get the plaque for Mary Quant's BAZAAR boutique installed at 138a King's Rd (Now Joe and the Juice). Always ask just in case, so the visual memories of that seminal era are not lost. Thanks.

Who remembers 'The Birds Nest' in Kings Road.?
I travelled down from my home in Glasgow to take a 'sentimental journey' of the place Iused to 'boogie' with my mates on a Friday night in 68/69 only to find out that it was changed into a large restaurant. Absolute sacrilege 😢

The first thing I notice when watching all these videos from the 1960’s and 79’s of the general public is that NO ONE is overweight
Also not many would be wearing trainers or hoodies
Everyone is looking very smart but fashionable at the same time and Oh the fashions then
I loved it then and I still love it today
I’m still trying to find a pair of vintage KINKY boots in white👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️😎😎👍 👍 💓💓❤️❤️🍹🍹

It is true that more than 50 years ago, people, and especially Londoners, had a better life. Electrotechnology will not save us. it does not make sense to see the economy in the first place, because most of today's problems are clearly related to unregulated capitalism, migration or individualism. The goal is to fulfill human needs, from basic biological to the highest. Here is the problem. Inadequate fulfillment of social needs is the cause of many of the problems described above. Boundless tolerance has devastated national identity and other earlier interpersonal ties. frustration and dissatisfaction is largely caused precisely because those needs are not met. The general identity that helps to maintain stability, based on national or Christian affiliation, has been replaced by small but very radical groups fighting for power, for example the homosexual movement or militant green factions. The former homogeneity, which worked reliably, is being attacked by dangerous radicals with the aim of asserting their worldview at the expense of the majority society. The solution is the re-homogenization of society, the expulsion of migrants from the country (migrants, first of all, do the most harm to the country they come from. For example, Haiti, from which 85% of university-educated people flee abroad. This is the reason why, for example, medical care does not work in Haiti, because most of the doctors will go to the US. For example, if all the Pakistanis were returned to the country, it would immediately help this country), the restoration of the Christian faith and the authority of the church (statistically proven that believers have more children, obey laws better...), strengthening the role of the state both in the economy and in other areas (self-sufficiency in key economic fields, greater emphasis on the safety and protection of residents, regulation of the activities of banks and energy corporations - very relevant today...), and so on. I am an optimist, so I believe that this current bad time will be corrected. It won't be easy, it will take a long time, but it will improve. Good luck!!!

@ prof, God says he is going to bring Judgement on an unbelieving world at the end of this age. Look around, it’s like Sodom and Gomorrah, why ?? Man has a sin problem, which he is born with. Man cannot solve his own problems, but he thinks he can without seeking Gods help, but the bible says, “ and except those days should. be shortened, there should no flesh be saved “ Matthew 24:22
