Thank you Brian and Adrian for the stories regarding Sligo Cemetery. Brian helped myself out with regards to the McNally family that are buried in the cemetery and had the pleasure of meeting him and hearing some of the stories .
I recently attended the Moore family cemetery in Moore Hall , Carnacun , co Mayo, their house was burned down in early 1923. There are a lot of republicans buried in Mayo as well and even Frank Stagg the hunger striker that died in 1976, I saw the army escorted hearse pass through the little Town of Balla central Mayo. There are many people buried from both sides of the civil war in that village, but a lot of the graves were only marked with large slabs. There are also a few people buried there that fought and died in ww1 , most had joined up with lure of good money they could send home to family and they were also told it would be a doddle. RIP all. 🙏🙏
Thank you both, Brian and Adrian, and videographer.
