    Thank you so much doctor for this informative video . Rather than burning down the leaves we can follow these steps and change it into a soil , moreover we can reduce air pollution by not burning the dry leaves.

    I do this same thing! Plus, my neighbors rake up all their leaves and throw them in the garbage! I ask my neighbor if I can have her leaves and she said, "of course!" Win-win!

    Leaf mould, the best natural organic manure for plants. Plants' own by-product. No after effects like heat of cowdung. Thanks for sharing.

    Very nicely explained.easy and simple.huge respect to you and your dedication.i have a question.can i mix my kitchen waste along with leaves.? I have a huge bin a 500 litres plastic tank which I converted to bin.i am collecting all leaves and kitchen waste.earlier i had worms ( night wigglers). Now I don't have the worms.

      All leaf litter should be good. I go around my neighbourhood collecting their bags of grass clippings & dried leaves regardless of which tree it came from :)

    @2:30 you said two tea spoon but added 3 times (1.5 times more).
    Also you used table spoon instead of tea spoon (3 times more).
    Also you made a big heap in spoon (2 times more).
    so in total you added 9 times more than you said.

    I want to inform you that I am doing leaf composting for last three year .It is taking long time and I wish to apply Urea or other decomposers to hasten the process.Can you suggest any? Thanks and regards

    Sir, can we dry these leaves for couple of days and then burn it and then use the ash as fertilizer?

      That may be some kind of low graded bio-char, it is better not to call that as compost or fertilizer. Methodologically, when you burn the matter a major share of nitrogen get oxidized and escapes the system, so your plant can't get them. However, bio-char have their own goodness and function in soil.

    Made some leaf compost fr the first time few days back in a plsticbucket made some holes also and added water today I opened the bucket to my surprise found many worms like maggots on the rim of the bucket is it ok? Or I made some mistake

    Whati do is place all dried leaves on lawn. Run lawn mower over them a few times. It will shred them all. Then I spread that like mulch around the plants. It works well for me. Easy.
