    14:19 14:21 "...they're not cheaper..."
Wind and solar are *_infinitely-expensive,_* on a sustained basis.

Water is also "free" in a rainy climate. Just taking people through how much it would take to collect and process that "free" resource, is a good way to get people to understand just how free these things really are and why we don't do them.

I think that energy efficiency in these plants could be greatly improved, there's probably a lot lost in the transportation of the coal/gas, maybe we should make smaller plants at the mining sites. Any improvements should be redirected into carbon capture, and also maybe, on-premise alternative energy sources could be use to augment power requirements for carbon capture methods. Maybe the sole use case of alternatives should be in augmenting the power input of the carbon capture processes. Maybe we should look for energy mining sites near alternative energy sites, particularly hydropower sites, and direct the energy of the alternative source to the mining/drilling/Power plants.
