Oh my god, thank you! I spent like an hour looking for a video editor that could easily blend green screen and didnt cost me 200$ to use. You are doing God's work.
I ended up downloading this software from CNet and had no problems, am looking forward to tying it, not sure what version CNet gave me but aren't they just linked to the same web site anyway.
Thanks man, I've been trying to find a good free video editor after my free trail of sony vegas ran out, most editors I found where just not up to scratch to what I wanted to do. As I am familiar with most professional editing software and am a skilled editor I found it hard to find an acceptable one for my skill and project ideas. TYVM now I can continue making good quality videos
Awesome video you have here! But I wanted to know could I overlay another video behind something. Say If i was making an introductory video to my channel, and I wanted to record myself in front of a green screen and have a series of videos playing behind me. How could I do that. Would this program allow that?
I installed and tried it last night, not keen on the interface tbh and the way it opens a new window to cut clips. When I am in creative mode I just need something to cut and throw the clips together syncing it up to music. I use avs4you which is pretty good, better than Movie Maker anyway lol.
Is it possible to manipulate layers in this program, for example images, so I can stretch them to fit some tilted walls or something like that? I didn't manage to find such a thing.
Having some issues with getting all of the Green Screen to disappear, keep ending up with some pixilation, missing parts of the person or object that I'm taking the video of. Any suggestions on how to resole this issue?
VSDC just released a new version update of their free editor that has implemented many requested features. It now includes the ability to SPEED-UP and SLOW-DOWN video. It now also has SCREEN RECORDING!!!
I'm making Get Rekt MLG videos with VSDC, and can you zoom into a certain point of a video other than the centre? Also, can you maintain the zoom once it has finished "zooming in" (So it doesn't turn back to normal once it has fully zoomed in)?
Yes, but you will have to include a movement object (demonstrated at 1:37 in the above video) so that as you zoom you also slide the video to center your desired "certain point" on the mat.
Wow! Looks really easy. Too bad that VSDC Movie Editor NEVER WORKS LIKE THIS!!! I followed the instructions EXACTLY as they are outlined in this video, and NOTHING ever happens. Why does this movie editor suck so much? Every time I try to get it to work, it's a series of frantic clickings of the undo and redo button until something works. Can you tell me why VSDC is not following through w/ the commands? Can you recommend something else? Something, for example, that does something that it's supposed to do?
First let's make sure that you understand that for the effect to be available, you need to let the program know which specific clip that you'd like to apply the effect to. This is done by clicking on its video tab above the timeline. Next, I'm guessing that you may be having problems getting the green background to disappear. If so, you might watch the following video that shows how to fine tune the chromakey adjustments for colors that are not entirely green.
Hoax! No way. That really happened. I got the free proctological exam to prove it. By the way, here is the free effect: Green Screen UFO (night) And here is the 3D artist that created it: ruclips.net/user/3DGreenScreenvideos
How do I do this when both of my videos are mulit-coloured? Like, the background is not green, neither blue or yellow. It is kind of black/green/brown. And my person also happen to dissappear. :/ Any tips? Thanks in advance!
In the properties window, right below Chromakey Color is a button labeled "Get color from scene". Click on this button, and your cursor becomes an eyedropper selector. Move the selector over the background color that you now wish to become the transparent color (instead of green) and click this color...
does anyone know how too green screen with this? its just a problem until I find out but since its not that easy I'll ask youtubers who view this video
IM a youtuber, you can watch my videos this is the software I use and I didn't pay a cent for it. I use the free version and have for years to do green screen. You can watch my video on how to add vfx into your video if you want to.
okay but how do i zoom in an object from 100 not 0 at the staring value because i dont want it coming from the background, more of like a 3D kinda thing.
Quadcopter 101 With the above in mind, the following video was made with VSDC. Notice how the objects zoom out like you suggest. ruclips.net/video/z7C9a-3c78Y/видео.html
check that its completely installed and then make sure you set it up. It doesn't run as soon as you download it. If that doesn't work then you will have to just Delete it and reinstall it.
I didn't use any software. I downloaded the video effect clip separately. Just type "UFO green screen effect" in the above RUclips search bar. You will find many special effects artists showcasing some of their effects. Most provide free download links to their effects so that you can use them in your videos.
You may have to sample the background color of the object you are trying to remove the background on. Right after selecting background remover, the properties window opens for the effect. Midway down in the properties window is a green square. You can select a custom color by clicking the icon next to the green box. There are a few colors available to use but you can select a color from the scene using a droplet cursor acquired after clicking a custom color box.
If the green is slightly off color, or an entirely different color from green, you may need to make some fine adjustments of the chroma controls. Please see the following video, starting at about 0:32 into the video FREE Video Editing Software: Green Screen (Chroma Key), Movement, & Zoom Tutorial
this doesnt even work, i dont know what you are doing but i have followed this tutorial to the letter, and when you click background remover, it changes, whereas mine just stays green... and installing this installed some stupid program that oens pop ups with every single link i click, thanks for nothing
Antiqcool have a large selection of quality, original, instrumental and vocal acoustic guitar tracks...many of them are free to download and use in non commercial videos in return for artist credit and website link in description. The same tracks are also inexpensive for commercial use ....find out more on my channel.
No, it's still free, but somewhat hidden. When the purchase nag screen comes up, look toward the bottom of the screen in the white section (in small print). The free export selection is there. The nag screen will come up every time that you export, but just ignore it and hit the free export selection.
vproj is not a video file. It's simply a project file that saves the work that you did, so that you can come back later, load the project file, and pick up your editing where you left off. To convery your editing into a viewable video, you'll need to click on the "Export Project" button.
It is not a virus, but it does use a bundler installer that might install malware if you're not careful. Note that VSDC downloader will suggest installing additional bundled software along with VSDC. This is why VSDC is free. Do NOT do a "recommended" Express Install. Instead, do a "custom installation", and carefully read each of the installation screens and make sure to uncheck and decline any offers of additional software (all).
You're going to have to do some fine adjustment of the chroma settings. See about 1 minute into the following video: VSDC Video Editor, Chroma Key Fine Adjustment
Oh my god, thank you! I spent like an hour looking for a video editor that could easily blend green screen and didnt cost me 200$ to use. You are doing God's work.
The best Chroma Key free program! Thumbs up.
I ended up downloading this software from CNet and had no problems, am looking forward to tying it, not sure what version CNet gave me but aren't they just linked to the same web site anyway.
thx i thought VSDC was of no use at first. now i realised that i can put green screen effects in it
Thanks man, I've been trying to find a good free video editor after my free trail of sony vegas ran out, most editors I found where just not up to scratch to what I wanted to do. As I am familiar with most professional editing software and am a skilled editor I found it hard to find an acceptable one for my skill and project ideas. love this, and it has potential for a animator from what i can see
Thanks! I've been looking for such an application. Forget After Effects and Sony Vegas. This program is enough for a simple green screen effects :)
thank you for making these, very helpful!
awesome job buddy!!!!!!
which is better VSDC or FileLab? Does VSDC have titles and transitions?
Thanks this helped me find and good free editing software that does green screen without spending lots of money thank god

hey buddy what software do you use to get the green background on your ufo video..thats kinna neat tell plss...i like your video ...
Thanx... Added this to my favs.
Thanks for these tutorials!
Is it possible to manipulate layers in this program, for example images, so I can stretch them to fit some tilted walls or something like that? I didn't manage to find such a thing.
+BracketGuySerious I think only sony vegas and photoshop would be able to do what you ask. Blender can too, but it's more trickier there.
Having some issues with getting all of the Green Screen to disappear, keep ending up with some pixilation, missing parts of the person or object that I'm taking the video of. Any suggestions on how to resole this issue?
Thanks for the help
So could I like put a background picture behind me in video?
is this an open source software ??
VSDC just released a new version update of their free editor that has implemented many requested features. It now includes the ability to SPEED-UP and SLOW-DOWN video. It now also has SCREEN RECORDING!!!
Is there a way to make animations on VSDC?
Dude I'm confused on how to do this. I want to chrome my video of me talking, and put something in the backround, but it won't work.
thank you

***** And go figure, as soon as I posted that, I got it to work. >X(
I can't get rid of the green background even when i do what i'm supposed to do, help please?
In vsdc video editor do you know how to blur out someone's face??
When I choose remove background, the whole thing goes transparent. What do I do?
thx man
I had to put my volume at 100 to hear your backround music
Liked your final output... Didnt get the name of the software though... like its a hoax right?
Hoax! No way. That really happened. I got the free proctological exam to prove it. By the way, here is the free effect: Green Screen UFO (night)
And here is the 3D artist that created it: ruclips.net/user/3DGreenScreenvideos
Oh and if you were referring to the software, yes it's free. It's "VSDC Free Video Editor". And it's not a hoax, it really is free.
it was. not in 2017 though
As mentioned on your other comment, it still is. But the selection is somewhat camouflaged at the bottom of the purchase nag screen.
Its called vsdc and its free
very good video
thanks video pad stopped letting me use effects after redownload
merci

Note if your person happens to have this same color in his/her clothing, that portion of clothing will also disappear.
Thank you so much! Is there, however, anyway to make this person still visible or should I pick another video?
There's nothing much that you can do If this person is wearing the same color as the invisible background. Yep, recommend another video.
great
i downloaded and deleted does not accept all format special mp4
How do I download this?
cooooooooool
nice! can you do like Harry Potter Effects? i meen like laser, spells...

does anyone know how too green screen with this? its just a problem until I find out but since its not that easy I'll ask youtubers who view this video

Doesn't work, I followed all of this and the chroma key doesn't remove the background.
Please watch the following tutorial. It might help:
VSDC Video Editor, Chroma Key Fine Adjustment
okay but how do i zoom in an object from 100 not 0 at the staring value because i dont want it coming from the background, more of like a 3D kinda thing.
You can start at any value, even larger values than 100 % to do a zoom out instead of a zoom in.
Quadcopter 101 With the above in mind, the following video was made with VSDC. Notice how the objects zoom out like you suggest. ruclips.net/video/z7C9a-3c78Y/видео.html
my thought was of the image coming in towards you as if it was popping out
Then start at 0 and continue to some high number like 1000%.
grab one of the corners and move it up and down.
Also the Preview could be integrated into the same window... maybe it is new software and they will refine it with age lol.
your amazing
I downloaded and installed it, but it won't open. Help!
check that its completely installed and then make sure you set it up. It doesn't run as soon as you download it. If that doesn't work then you will have to just Delete it and reinstall it.
I follow the steps it doesn't work!
but chroma is not strong enough
its not letting me down low it

Does not work for me at all. Remove background does nothing.

installs other softwares, name is different, always pushy to pay, bloatware, uninstalled right away.
this doesnt even work, i dont know what you are doing but i have followed this tutorial to the letter, and when you click background remover, it changes, whereas mine just stays green... and installing this installed some stupid program that oens pop ups with every single link i click, thanks for nothing
Thank you, now i can stop paying for the Sony vegas bullshit

So is mine, but it runs fine on mine. Not sure what the problem is?
32 bit software is compatible with 64 bit systems, but 64 bit software is NOT compatible with 32 bit systems.
Simply difficult!
not for commercial use though =(
yah
At the time of this video, it was free...now its $19.00 for that feature to actually export the video.
No, it's still free, but somewhat hidden. When the purchase nag screen comes up, look toward the bottom of the screen in the white section (in small print). The free export selection is there. The nag screen will come up every time that you export, but just ignore it and hit the free export selection.
Quadcopter 101 okay I'll give it a try
What's the catch?
malware. Anything that has "free" in the title means it most likely has some sort of malware or virus.
Alex Lion ANNNNNNNNNND thats a lie But this mabye
I downloaded it; no virus.
yet...
Heey , awsome tutorial man! :D Can you make a tutorial on how to make a awsome slowmotion? Or how to use speed? That would be great , thank you
How do you convert the vproj file to mp4?
vproj is not a video file. It's simply a project file that saves the work that you did, so that you can come back later, load the project file, and pick up your editing where you left off. To convery your editing into a viewable video, you'll need to click on the "Export Project" button.
Yes i know i found it but thank you
dam
I read several comments, this is a VIRUS IF YOU DOWNLOAD!
Anymore answers to this question would be highly appreciated
It is not a virus, but it does use a bundler installer that might install malware if you're not careful. Note that VSDC downloader will suggest installing additional bundled software along with VSDC. This is why VSDC is free. Do NOT do a "recommended" Express Install. Instead, do a "custom installation", and carefully read each of the installation screens and make sure to uncheck and decline any offers of additional software (all).
Ok, thanks

You're going to have to do some fine adjustment of the chroma settings. See about 1 minute into the following video:
VSDC Video Editor, Chroma Key Fine Adjustment
it doesnt work, the black boarder is still showing up :(
