From the beginning I've thought that James killed Amy and he planned on framing Ste for it; and we've seen him tampering with evidence but it's so clear now that this whole time he's been protecting Harry because he believes Harry killed Amy. That comment about the ringtone just proves it. So somebody with the ringtone that James heard that night killed Amy and it wasn't Harry.
All I have to say is lol..wtf? Anyway, I bawled throughout this episode until James made that suggestion at the end lol. I missed episodes like this with Ste, gut wrenching. Good job guys. As usual Kieron did brilliantly. Parry did a wonderful job and so did everyone else. Tony made me cry at the graveside.

That least scene with Tony was just too much. Would have found it a lot more thrilling to watch if the frame shifted back and forth from Harry going towards the police station, and James running like a mad man, hoping to catch up with him. But too late. When James arrives, Harry gets up from his chair in the waiting room, to shake hands with D.I. Thorpe. But James isn`t born yesterday: (Calls out) Harry! Stop this nonsense! Your plan isn`t going to work. You will not establish reasonable doubt by falsely making a confession. And you certainly will not help Ste! Should the court learn about you having attempted to help Ste this way, you will only make him look more guilty - and increase the risk of him being convicted!" That does the trick, and after quickly having apologized to Thorpe, excusing Harry`s behavior with the stress he is under, but no harm done, so could we just forget about this, James takes Harry outside - and there informs him about the third way out: Framing D.S. Armstrong for having killed Amy. Cause it has to be Armstrong. I am pretty sure of that. Luckily for Ste and Harry Armstrong has been even more stupid than they have that night and afterwards. One of those mistakes being attempting to extort James for free legal work, by revealing he had seen James dump something wrapped in a plastic bag into the pond that night. But if he had seen James dump something wrapped in a plastic bag into the pond, James could just as easily claim he saw Armstrong do it. After all, James lived next door to Amy. If Armstrong could set up Ste falsely, maybe he could have made it look like James had helped Ste too? Therefore James had to wait until he had solid evidence, and until the trial had begun, so neither Armstrong nor any of his police friends could have interfered in any way. Such a statement would have made a media star out of James - the lawyer who knew his client was innocent, but didn`t dare speak out since the real murderer was the head investigator on the case - and nailed a suspicion to Armstrong it would be very tough to shake off. At least this is the development I hope for now, after Hollyoaks has opted for the most obvious suspect after Ste. Still, Harry as the killer doesn`t convince me. Not because I don`t think Harry in a moment of rage could have been in danger of killing someone without planning or wanting to, but because I find all the evidence pointing much more convincingly in Armstrong`s direction, than in any of the 4 other suspects`. In fact I find both Leah or Lucas, because they were in the same house, more convincing as the killer, than anyone other than Armstrong. One fact in particular I think points towards Armstrong as the only possible killer, looking at it from a logical point of view. Finding whatever it was, and in a condition in-which anything from DNA, fingerprints fiber and more could be secured from it, would have gotten first priority. The longer it remained under water, the more of the possible evidence would have disappeared, therefore nothing would have been more important, than having that pond searched. There is only one reason Armstrong wouldn`t have had that pond searched - and that is if he didn`t want whatever James had dumped discovered - cause it could be linked to Armstrong himself, cause he killed Amy. Because of that fact, I don`t find Harry credible as Amy`s killer. Hollyoaks might think the story line works. But to me it doesn`t. To me it is less likely that Armstrong wouldn`t have had the pond searched - unless he himself had killed Amy, and didn`t want the shoes he wore discovered, than it is for Harry to not only have accidentally come to kill Amy, but to have allowed Ste to go to jail for it. I am not saying that is impossible, or even out of character for Harry. Only that it is far less likely for a police detective not to have had that pond searched - unless he himself didn`t want the case to be solved.
Somehow I don't buy it. Not because I'm a Harry or Starry fan, which I'm not really but it seems way too easy. This is Hollyoaks after all. There got to be at least four twist and three red herrings in every one of their storylines. I assume there must be at least one 180 turn left before this is over

I mean, in real life, you can't choose what's coming next for you and this case of Ste and Harry who might break up because of Amy's murder is quite realistic. Imagine, your boyfriend/girlfriend or whoever it is did the same thing to a very close friends of yours, you'd probably never forgive the person you once loved. So that's why they're breaking up. But it may not happen with Ste and Harry because I think James is covering Harry and this would be a very dark secret for what's coming next... I don't know if I was clear, sorry I'm french! 😅

Even if by any chance someone else took care of Amy after Harry left, there's still the fact that he left Ste to rot in hail. POOR WRITING! Lucas can easily recognise harry's voice,then there is Armstrong,that guy that Ryry had an affair with and out of no where they made harry the killer. I can remember the guilt and shame on harry's face when James paid him for sex and now he killed Amy but remain calm for months letting his true love suffering in prison. The first thing he would have done, was to order divers into that pond, to retrieve whatever it was James dumped there the night before. Finding whatever it was, and in a condition in-which anything from DNA, fingerprints fiber and more could be secured from it, would have gotten first priority. The longer it remained under water, the more of the possible evidence would have disappeared, therefore nothing would have been more important, than having that pond searched.
There is only one reason Armstrong wouldn`t have had that pond searched - and that is if he didn`t want whatever James had dumped discovered - cause it could be linked to Armstrong himself, cause he killed Amy.
Because of that fact, I don`t find Harry credible as Amy`s killer. Hollyoaks might think the story line works. But to me it doesn`t. To me it is less likely that Armstrong wouldn`t have had the pond searched - unless he himself had killed Amy, and didn`t want the shoes he wore discovered, than it is for Harry to not only have accidentally come to kill Amy, but to have allowed Ste to go to jail for it. I am not saying that is impossible, or even out of character for Harry. Only that it is far less likely for a police detective not to have had that pond searched - unless he himself didn`t want the case to be solved.
Somehow I don't buy it. Not because I'm a Harry or Starry fan, which I'm not really but it seems way too easy. This is Hollyoaks after all. There got to be at least four twist and three red herrings in every one of their storylines. I assume there must be at least one 180 turn left before this is over

I mean, in real life, you can't choose what's coming next for you and this case of Ste and Harry who might break up because of Amy's murder is quite realistic. Imagine, your boyfriend/girlfriend or whoever it is did the same thing to a very close friends of yours, you'd probably never forgive the person you once loved. So that's why they're breaking up. But it may not happen with Ste and Harry because I think James is covering Harry and this would be a very dark secret for what's coming next... I don't know if I was clear, sorry I'm french! 😅

Even if by any chance someone else took care of Amy after Harry left, there's still the fact that he left Ste to rot in hail. If he loved Ste as much as he says, he would have confessed and i'm sure there would have been an out. It was accidental and who knows he may have been found innocent in a twist. I feel like the writers chose to make it Harry to be really shocking because he is the least likely suspect. And while I am shocked that it was Harry, it isn't believable at all. Surely there would have been signs in his behavior immediately after the murder. The writers have been milking this story for all it's worth, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was one more twist, and it turns out to not be Harry.
