Gemma, you are always so creative in such a "simple" way...none of this 14 different colors, with all the utensils other artists need. You just use what you have on hand and your artistry is totally incredible!! You create with "gentleness" so not seen in these times...I love your work, and Thanks for sharing your talents...This is so beautifully done!! 🤗☺❤
Hi Gemma - You have a new sub here - I stumbled across your channel quite by accident and have been binge watching for the last few days. Your work and ideas are amazing. I wonder if you (or anyone else watching) can tell me if you can get the same results with canvas and if so, does it need priming and with what? You always appear to use ceramic tiles (I very well may be wrong tho...) I'm very new to acrylics and basically need all the help I can get. I know the art community is amazingly helpful and full of tips and hints so here I am... 😊
@jeannietaylor4968 Hello. You can also work on cotton canvas. (It is recommended that cotton canvas be treated with gesso first.) However, not all operations are possible. My current work mainly uses ceramic tiles, but previously I used cotton canvas or MDF board. In the case of this video, the same work can be done on cotton canvas. I hope you have a happy painting time.
@@DesignerGemma77 Thank you for such a prompt reply Gemma - would it be possible for you to link some of your canvas work. Just out of interest, what do you do with your painted tiles? Do you hang on walls, and if so, how? Really loving your channel and your work.

Everything about this was brilliant. Love the texture in the negative space that contrasts so boldly with the delicate flowers. wow!

I’m using A5 sheets of hardboard. I sand them very lightly and love using acrylics on them. Canvas can be more expensive.
