Never forget C9 Hai backdoor attempt with Zed. Legendary moment. I wanted C9 to lose so much as an EU fan, but had to support them in that moment.
Im just gona say that when Hai and Sneaky left so did all the clutch/luck gene the team had, it feels like the difference between NA and EU for the last decade is not mechanics or macro, it seems that EU always have talent who excel in getting pidegeon drop (Blue Lock reference) in short in 50/50 situations where luck is the difference EU teams always manages to be in position to get lucky against NA meanwhile the gap in talent to Eastern teams is so large that luck is not enough.

Really liking the dom solo commentary, because it gives so much more insight to these games! I barely understand what should be happening when I watch myself, but this offers so much understanding.
definitely preferred solo cast vs the full nutsack - the sweet spot was like 2-3 people total, but with 5+ it's just too much noise (the full squad for the final would probably be hype though)
Switched to Caedrel a while back cause I just cant stand Gilius and miss the IWD Solocast. Didnt even know he was solo today damn. Hopefully it stays this way more

I think this series perfectly exhibits main weakness of each region: NA just do not know how to set up objectives and keep getting into dumb 50/50s or giving free drakes/heralds, while EU cannot give up objecives to catch up properly, we just int for a cloud drake that could give us free 5 mins of scaling.
And we overengange like razork and humanoid have been doing for the past 2 years
NA plays a worse version of korean style league of legends. While with EU, they player closer to chinese style. Alot of the issues Korean league teams have struggled with in recent years are very smilar to the ones afflicting NA. Lack of willingness to pull the trigger and play aggresive on coinflips, etc.
This solo commentary is why I'm here, I've had to watch highlights elsewhere whenever the other co-streamers are on Dom's cast.

I wonder if Dom took the criticism that was on reddit (praising Caedral), where they said that dom and LS no longer do serious commentary, and for dom specially, because there are too many people in the call and it devolves into a mess. I love The Sack for regular season / low level games, but I watch for Dom and not The Sack. In these calls, he’s often the quietest. Anyways, great content Dom!

As sad as this is, I’ve been sadder before. And it was the 2017 worlds with TSM when I legitimately thought we had a show make a deep run. After that worlds I don’t didn’t think we would be able to do anything internationally again until the outlier of C9 in 2018. I want to have hope in NRG but man it’s frustrating to become a wildcard region.

As an European it was always hard for me to understand American culture. What was fascinating for me is that they like bragging about their freedom which was weird for me, because I didn't think that I have any less freedom than them. I always thought 'What is the difference'. However after this game I finally understand it. NA is just so fucking free

Best pick into Rumble - if we're talking 1v1 and 2v2 - should be Olaf, right ? Maybe doesn't provide enough later in the game (if your team falls behind and can't play sides, for example) but with Lethal Tempo and going ghost + flash you should have constant kill pressure and be able to zone Rumble quite well from CS.
Chippys, an OCE pro/coach who had Olaf as his pocket pick during his pro career has recently posted an Olaf guide. He thinks Rumble is one of the hardest matchups for Olaf because against ignite it's very hard for Olaf to win an early all in and Rumble pokes him out in lane.

Olaf can’t really run down Rumble until he gets Ragnarok, a good Rumble just plays Phase Rush, Ignite, poke and space the Olaf and he can’t really do anything
I would say the best counters to Rumble are either Range tops, or a neutralizer like Dom mentioned Orn, maybe GP ? Im not sure.
The thing is that with the Rumble changes hes also really good into tanks as well, so most melee matchups are Rumble favored.
Finally a format where NA can truly shine and doesn't get any free games from dog teams, can't wait for NRG 👍
g2 is the only good team in the west after watching all the other na vs eu and other regions Na is considered below eu so the fact they won games vs eu and c9 coulda won this series but just threw goes to show the gap is not there besides g2 tbh

Was waiting for this one, dom suffering is amazing. Bad draft by fnc in first game. Putting humanoid on ori is a waste, not banning rumble red side is a fail. Thankfully they pulled it out at end, and nearly tilted c9 in the first game.

Not perfect and not filled with competitive integrity but 100% more enjoyable to watch than past formats for sure, and still fair enough for east to dominate anyway.

Tbh I prefer the solo commentary. Apart from Yamato there is not much actual analysis and useful commentary in the sack.
- NA is a major region guy, trust, ain't no way their games are that bad (seeth*) .
- NA teams are very professional guy, their gameplay must be the best of the best (seeth*).
- NA could win World, i trust them to play their best ( seeth*).
