- In this video I will show you how to fix the unable to mount /data /system error
warning : it will delete internal storage and OS
note : you can skip repair part
Repair partition will fail in some devices. Just skip the process and format the data

HOLY SHIT I GOT MY PHONE WORKING!!! Converting it to exfat and then converted back to ext4 seemed to fix the problem. Thought my phone (LG G4) was a total goner, thanks!!!

Still not working bro.. As I said after done with the three steps I reboot to my system and sign in.. Then after i reboot to recovery mode it still shows 0 size
Maybe your OS encrypts your storage on boot. Check out XDA forum there will be a recovery to decrypt storage.
but my intention was to change my imei number. But while I write imei with imei writer it shows passed on the writer with a tick mark,but on my phone an error msg shows up saying
"The connected device is unable to access data on this device reconnect the usb cable and try again"

brother ! am facing this issue. Everytime I install lineage os 15.1 my internal storage gets encrypted. I can only use it via los file manager.

Omg I was ready to split my Galaxy Tab S2 in half out of frustration coz I couldn't flush Lineage OS on it. Simply you can advance wipe all the data. This makes no sense you are wiping the os then how do you restarted..

Repairing alone gave me an error code ending in '8'. Reformatting the drive as EXT2 and subsequently formatting it as EXT4 (Original filesystem) worked, repairing and wiping succeeded as a result. On a Redmi 6.

when I repair or change file system of data it shows this:

Size: 0MB
Free:0MB
Removable: No
Used: 0MB
Backup Size: 0MB
so repair file system ends up with the error: /sbin/e2fsck -fp process ended with ERROR: 16
Unable to repair Data.
when all fails, is it possibe that the fault is already the eeprom?

Depends on your rom for some newer devices flashing newer vendor is required read the full instruction on xda rom page before flashing
