I’ve worn 3 Clarks leather Chukka boots in my lifetime . None have been any of their classics . They have all been size 9. So will you still say to go down on these? I’m usually 9 1/2 in Reebok sneaker so I didn’t think Clarks ran big.
On the supposition one is wearing shorts, rather than long pants: Dirt and debris very easily go in through the top of the shoe because it's a loose fit top. Chukkas are practically just urban shoes, not country/off-road/landscape/gardening shoes.
Hey Tristan, Totally agree with you on these clarks! I Have the exact same pair myself and wearing for 2 years and use them as beaters when I don't want to use my Aldens or Allen Edmonds. They are very comfortable in high heat conditions but not that great for winter. It's sad that clarks are made in vietnam instead of New England. These boots aren't meant to be kept pristine and trust me, they will look better once they are beat up! I don't care much for mines, but they look GREAT!!
I'm not sure that Clarks actually does a true Goodyear welt so much as glueing the crepe outsole to the upper and insole while applying a stitch around the upper to give it that welted look... Any thoughts?
I have them and it’s not stitch directly to the crepe, it’s the suede upper stitched onto what I think is a think piece of leather to which I assume the crepe is glued onto so it is welted. I’d imagine it would be a pain to resole them , rose anvil had a video cutting the desert boot in half and I’ve seen people resole dbs. They are most definitely stitched on
I don't currently only because these shoes are so cheap, I don't really care how long they last and I don't currently have an extra pair of shoe trees. But if I had an extra pair lying around, I'd use them.
i got the desert boot bush acher 2 which i'll be posting soon so yall can check mine out. it looks similar to these & i like the color on these but my dark brown fits me perfectly ..
naa u wearing it wrong....ur pants are two big bro....out here in Jamaica we really endorse the clarks.....its the most popular shoe out here right now
you must shit gold bricks. anything over 30 dollars for a pair of shoes is expensive. wallabees are the exception. i got two for 150 and i plan on using these two for like 15 years lol
Inexpensive chukkas? BLASPHEMY! Clarks was the original desert boot, chukka is a term coined by some fuckers over at other companies so they can get past the patented name. As for the inexpensive part, is 260 dollars inexpensive to you? Please do your research before you start blaspheming about.
I have the JCrew version as well and they have worn really well. I was actually surprised at how well they have held up. Good video, thanks.
That colour is great. Goes with anything, Looks smart. Thanks for telling us to size down.

I have the JCrew Chukkas which have more of a distinct color than the Clarks. Very comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
usually boots don't go well with shorts, but with these could see it work nicely.
£95.00 here in the UK. They are a classic, will be buying a pair in dark blue.
it was naval officers in northern africa not india
Nice vid. I'm a size 9 US Nike and Adidas and some of my desert boots. What size should I get with these?
Thank you
Very comfortable boots, and great to wear in the Australian summer. Why buy sneakers that make your feet stink?

Wear with a slim jean or chino but roll the hems up. Look good with a shirt aswel
The "running" size is a good pcs. of information. Thanks!
I would think so although I don't wear shorts that much so perhaps someone else has input on that.
Do you mean a full size or just the next half size down?
Excellent, thorough video. Thanks for the sizing information.
Any chance to see a follow up review? How have they held up?
I am a size 9 us in vans & nike should i go 8.5 because my last clark shoe is Us 8.5 and it fit me good should i stick to 8.5
Do these shoes require a special break-in procedure like walking on carpet for 15 min as you demonstrated with a pair of Allen Edmonds? Thanks!
u said under 80?! can u let me know if u ever come across that price again.. incredible
They look great with jeans!!
cuff the jeans with these bro
Check in the description field. They are under still $80. in the link there.
They don't "run big"! It is not a mistake. UK sizes are one size smaller than US size.
Online it is recommended that Americans buy a size smaller of the US size, not the UK size.
how do you think these shoes would work with a preppy style?
Do you keep shoe trees in these when not in use?
Trying cuffing the bottom of your pants slightly with these boots it give a much cleaner and stylish look.
these would look good with a pair of apc jeans really clean look.
what kind of jeans do u usually wear?
Are those boot-cut or straight fit?
I don't currently only because these shoes are so cheap, I don't really care how long they last and I don't currently have an extra pair of shoe trees. But if I had an extra pair lying around, I'd use them.
How did you get these under $80 I only see prices over $110
+Cesar DeLuna The prices fluctuate but I think they've gone up in the last few years.
+PHOTOTRISTAN do you know anywhere I can find them a couple bucks cheaper?
+Cesar DeLuna Check the link in description field.
+PHOTOTRISTAN thank you! did you buy yours a full size or half size smaller?
+Cesar DeLuna I believe a full size down works best but see if you can try them on.
I buy one in store for about $ US100 , a black one,they r cool.
Another good vid, they are a classic, I've got a pair the same colour, but not Clarks.
hello! any strech over time?
This is a best looking color..
Indeed.
What do you guys think is the best color for blue jeans?
Blue
phototristan lmao
do they have a removable insole?
have you tried any Johnston & Murphy shoes?
what kind of jeans are those?
are you from Seattle ?
I've always been wanting one of these but i can't afford it. It's very expensive
Anyone know how to clean these? I had worn mine for one day and now they're stained :(
Thanks.

I would think they would be quite good for that.

i got the desert boot bush acher 2 which i'll be posting soon so yall can check mine out. it looks similar to these & i like the color on these but my dark brown fits me perfectly ..

Not really, but it can't hurt to do that.

What are they then?
Never wear a boot with shorts.
That is imitation

Sounds like you need to do more research. You can get Clarks for as low as $50. so yeah, inexpensive for sure.
