- Back in May, I headed to Como, Italy, to test the new bike. The launch
reminded me that you shouldn't judge a book (or, in this case) a bike by its cover. The Falcon RS may look very on-trend, but it also surprises.
That's a really, really good looking bike
Looks amazing in black.
Nice Scott Addict RC
😂😂
After seeing the Ridley specs, agreed the Vitoria 28’s are a “safe choice” for this whip however Burt mentioned 34’s? well that’s not pushing the envelope, although my competition preference is for (Pirelli’s P-Zero TLR SL)-30 mm would be my racing choice for this stunning thoroughbred…
Beautiful and finally Ridley has a bike that they’ve never had. But priced at 9 grand, most folks will just buy a Tarmac SL8, or Cannondale, or Cervelo, or Giant, Orbea etc.
Yep, they need to play about with the pricing. But you can build it to a price closer to what your wallet will allow with the configurator. But that still doesn't make it competitive one price. -Dave
Ridley seems to allow its LBS-sellers to come up with significant discounts for the regular builds. If you buy via Ridley itself, then you pay the announced prices, with the possible additional color-customization costs.
Agree o bought a noah fast for half the list price at a certified dealer
Does it cost more per letter on the model name?
I really like to see 34mm tyre clearance ony a pure race bike, maybe i could stop to buy cyclocross bikes for road use (32mm GP5000), so really nice bike. Thanks for video.
This is how the SL8 should have looked like
Wow Great Bike❤😊😅😮
I sure liked it. A surprising ride for sure. - dave
it's funny how when Specialized/Trek/ Cannondale prices an Ultegra Di2 bike at 9K it's fine because it's a Specialized/Trek/Cannondale, but when other brands do the same it's really offensive. I'd rather have an European made frame over another generic and boring Specialized frame, at least to try something different. I'd like to give this Falcn a try but their geometry tool and charts put me absolutely out of range on an L frame, while my numbers and my current bike ( Canyon) it's an M.
Will it bend?
Hope not - Dave
Is noah fast still the top of ridley ?
Falcn Rs is so NOT Ridley 😩
Both would be classed as similar levels in the range. Just have different properties, one aiming to be super fast, the other a balance of weight/aero. = Dave
where does this english accent come from ? (I’m french speaking)
I'm from the North West, Cumbria. But it's a little bit of a mix, I've moved around a lot so picked up a few qwerks. Actually now living in France too - Dave
What size did u test?
An S, which actaully works out to be about a 54cm if I remember rightly - Dave
€9000 for force axs groupset…you could get a Canyon bike with dura-ace or red……
Yeah the prices are on the high side. IWheels are a highlight at the price, but still it's steep asking prices. = Dave
Too expensive and no dealer network to speak of here in the US
Try "Competitive Cyclist", they could get Ridley.
It’s an Orca in disguise,…
