Highly recommend the audiobook version of Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass if you haven't heard it yet. It's a WORK OF ART. 👌

I dislike Paulo Coelho works. For anyone interested in Brazilian books, I always recommend Clarice Lispector (she was amazing, I love her), The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas by Machado de Assis and Noite Na Taverna-unfortunately, this last one has not been translated that I know of. It’s my favourite Brazilian book, it’s gothic in kind of a similar way to Poe and Lord Byron.
