Some acquaintances and I run a club at my school for knitters and crocheters and we have a valentines day project coming up so I need to teach them how to make hearts, however we only have 30 minutes each meeting and 2 meeting each week so I need to get this information to them as fast as possible. This video made it really easy and fast without me having to do it all by hand with the time limit that I have. Thank you so much!!!
Did this heart for my first time ever increasing/decreasing and your direction made it fun and easy to learn. Now I have a slightly wonky but delightfully chunky velvet heart. Thank you, Norman!
Forst one took more than 40 min and not looking well (first time tried increasing/decreasing) but second one was wayyyy more fast and looking very good I DID ITTTTT YEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY! ❤️😂 Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this heart video! My little hearts turned out as hoped. You included a great level of instruction, detail and pacing, and you made it easy to know when to hit the pause and repeat.
Thank you for this video. I have never got the hang of increase and decrease so always knitted basic squares and rectangles. I am now challenging myself to learn increase and decrease and this will be perfect for me to learn with. Thanks again ☺️
Thanks Norman, I wanted to do a different heart each day of February until the 14th. I did another similar to this from the bottom up, so now this one will be included! Great instructions! Thanks
@@NimbleNeedles I plan on attaching them all to red and white cord to hang up on the wall. Each different in some way, size, color, puffed, thin, knit , crochet, etc.
Your video was her helpful. Your instructions were easy to follow and for someone like me with a learning comprehension issues and a form of dyslexia I appreciate your videos. ❤😊
U have perfect timing! I have a bulky pink yarn made from banana peel. I've been wanting to knit a heart and sew it on to a grey t-shirt! Thank you so much. Please also say measurements in metric not just inches etc :-)
Awesome tutorial. Thank you! I'm new to knitting and just completed my first heart after watching this video. How can I get the lobes of my heart round like yours? Mine came out more triangular. Thanks again!
well. you are kind of knitting a triangle. If you want, you could block them into the desired shape. So, pin them into the desired shape on a towel, carpet, etc, and use thte steam function of your iron to block the fibers (google blocking for more details).
well, other than watching my fair isle tutorial here on youtube? Start with something simple, like a headband or so. and pick the right yarn! (no superwash or slick yarns)
Thank you Norman 🤩 Started just now my first knitting project: A hart to stick on a card for Valentines Day 😜 Fist one ended up a bit wonky but still okey! I just have a general problem: the last "Masche" of esch row gets super loos even if I try to pull it tight. This messed up the general tension of the project and by that also the geometrical form. Would you have any suggestions? Once more: Thank you Norman, Danke Dir! 😉
the easiest way would be using bigger yarn and needle. BUt other than that, if you add another two increase row after row 6, you would get a bigger heart.
hm..not sure what you mean with this question? I mean, you can see how I knit it step by step and see exactly how I construct this. so..uh..not sure how I can help you any further than that?
If you need to learn how to knit, I suggest this video: ruclips.net/video/zLSaApeG-vY/видео.html Other than that, you will also find the written instructions (first link in the comments). Techniques are linked in the pattern as you go.

Hey Morgana, your project sounds lovely. If you look at my patterns on my blog I always use both - metric and inches for measurements.

Is there a formula if I wanted to knit a slightly larger heart? Should I just make larger lives to begin and take it from there?
the easiest way would be using bigger yarn and needle.
BUt other than that, if you add another two increase row after row 6, you would get a bigger heart.
@@NimbleNeedles thank you.
Love this. Did I miss the pattern?
