He's one of those celebrities, that people can actually connect to on a real level. He truly experienced life before all the fame, and even now he's still keeping it real and not acting stuck up because of the fame. He is my goddamn inspiration.

Beautiful man, so interesting to get to know. So honest and with good intention. I heard him say how he liked Lyfe Jenning's music before. Haven't actually taken much time to take a real good listen to August's actual music but him liking Lyfe and seeing this interview gives us a great idea of who he is. Liking Musiq too. Like you can tell he isn't the type of person who just opens up to everybody so easily. Like he's to himself but anyone who's able to get him to, hopefully only the ones with the most good intentions will use what he shares for their benefit. Seems like a nice person to know.

This interview really gave me a whole new perspective on August. I guess when it came to him I was kinda judging the book by it's cover and I'm happy to say I was wrong. I'm from New Orleans also and from the things he said we've had a lot of the same problems. Some of them are so similar it's scary, and it seems, for the most part, we have the same mindset. One thing he said that really hit home was in New Orleans you're kinda forced to become an adult really early, and that is definitely one of the truest things I've ever heard. Another thing that makes August so relatable for me is the fact that we're like a year apart in age. I have a whole new respect for August Alsina. ❤

He isn't crying when he speaks of things that hurt him and he excuses it as if it's not something that doesn't even affect him which now flash Forward we know all these things are hurting him deep inside.
