We viewed the first property on our list in Guarda, Portugal. This is such a beautiful riverside property with ample space inside the house and nicely decorated with exposed stone walls. We really enjoyed viewing this property but decided that it wasn't quite a right fit for us so we hopped back on our motorbikes to continue our road trip in the search for our new home.

Love the sound of rain on the tent. I don't mind the rain, except the soggy boots, don't worry I got new boots. I lived in a stone house, it was cold, damn cold in winter. Main reasons were windows didn't seal and front & back doors opposite each other. Though not for you, would be good for a motocross track.
I love the sound of thunder too but not when we are about to get on our bikes 😅 I would prefer that sunshine ☀️ noted on the coldness in winter we will plan some heating. Oh for sure we plan to build a track on our land 😎
Amazing property, lovely ride through the countryside. Too many wheelies so we couldn't see the view.

This property was phenomenal. Having the river amazing. The house was lovely and loved the property. The barn reminded me of an albergue in Spain. Converted stables. Was really lovely and unique. Well worth the $$
Indeed, we loved it too 😍 it wasn’t quite right for us due to the steepness of the land but honestly it’s not that bad and I think this property is still on the market. Link in description 😃👍

The river is gorgeous. No we couldn’t hear the Highway from the house 😃 it’s far enough away but close enough for easy transport

Hi Dennis, thanks so much for your comment and for watching our videos 😃 yes that’s right it’s not quite private enough for us as it was quite close to a village with a track running down the side of it I’m sure it wouldn’t be very busy though. Hey, thanks for your comment. We are looking all over Portugal for our new home; we start off in Guarda, head down through Fundão to Abrantes, Chamusca and Santarem then back up to explore Coimbra 😃👍

Don’t buy land with so many terraces, it’s worthless tbh (saying this as someone that made this mistake). Also the river is nice but a bug magnet
Just wondering is that something that could be worked around with a mini tractor like a Kubota?
@@HPLP85 the lady that showed us around said you could get a vehicle around the land so it is possible just not quite what we are looking for

Sorry but I don't like the house and the land has been let go and will take a big effort to have it back manageable. Also you must be aware of bushfires which are as prevalent in Portugal as in Australia.
Looks very nice , if you are looking for a vacation home. I would not buy it.
We are looking for a new home for permanent residency, this property while amazing didn’t quite suit our needs 😃
