I don't know if you noticed, but this 11 year old girl just sang this Elvis cover in the same key and range that Elvis did. If you put them side by side, they are the same. A truly remarkable young artist.
She is probably the best story teller out. Love Angelina.

Carl Boberg born in Mönsterås Sweden. In 1891 set to music (the same tune that we still sing today) and appeared in a number of Swedish hymnbooks.
She can sing any song with one or two background instruments. Exposes every millimeter of her voice to the audience. NO other so called "singer" today can strip down a classic and make it more beautiful.

Anguilla has covered other Elvis Presley songs. This song is not really an Elvis song. He sang it but the song was written in 1885 and has been sung by many Singers.its one of the most popular songs in churches in the world.

There was another child singer named Charice a few years back who belted out songs like Whitney Houston she was an awesome artist I loved listening to her. Angelina reminds me of Adele jazzy raspy or Cher has that kind of voice sometimes. She’s a great singer talented young lady in her own right loved the song. But can’t agree on Elvis reborn sorry there will only ever be on Elvis Presley and he died august 16, 1977.

After doing several covers, she was considered Elvis's granddaughter and they had to come out to clarify that she was not.
In fact, many consider her an old soul, capable of "channeling the spirit" of a singer and presenting her as she was in voice and style from 40-60 years ago. Like Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and more recent Amy Whinehouse and Adele. It's not just the voice, it's the feeling, as if the song was written for her.

The girl of a thousand voices... It;s as if she captures the essence of the artist she is covering within herself and when she sings it is filtered out through her own voice... My Mom's favorite singer was Ella Fitzgerald... I would have loved to play Angelina's cover of Every Time We say Goodbye for her.. You're lucky to still have your mom to play this for her

What I find truly remarkable is how Angelina consciously respects the cover artist’s version, honoring it yet making it her own, while never straying too far from the original.
Her tribute upon the death of her friend Avicii is a fine example of this. His original song “Wake Me Up” is so different than Angelina’s version (at twice the tempo of hers), yet her version - a lament - is beautiful and appropriate.

In many videos of Angelina I’ve noticed that her left upper lip often curls up just like Elvis’, it’s uncanny. A fan posted somewhere that the souls of Elvis, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, and Amy Winehouse decided that the world needed a great singer, and each of them contributed a piece of their souls to Angelina. Who knows?

You say manipulates but after seeing the video of her talking about the barefoot on stage, I am more inclined to think this is just her naturally, she is not doing it on purpose

I understand Angelina might be considered a Contralto, A female with an extraordinary low range. After Whitney and this one you should have a good idea of her range which isn't even close to her best traits. Angelina knows her range and it's only going to expand over the next 5 years plus. Keep em coming... I love your enthusiasm! 4 videos after your first discovery of this Angel. That says it all! By the way she has done many other Elvis songs.

Her low register ability is unheard of in a child, especially a girl. She commands
excellence in so many different genres, this being gospel, and has no one to compare
her to with regard to versatility excellence.

Ok, have watched quite a few of your reactions to the Angel of music. So far have really enjoyed them and believe you are starting to see what we all know that is right in front of us. IMHO probably the greatest vocal artist in decades, with out a doubt. Angelina can change her vocals to suit whatever song she decides to sing and you may have noticed already, there is no one like her today. I am definitely subbing your channel to see where you go with this. We "Angels" are millions and millions strong and love to see quality reactions to the barefoot Angel, you cannot go wrong on your channel by following Angelina down the rabbit hole. As you may be learning, Angelina is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices. Have you learned why she is barefoot when she sings? If not, you should check it out, or someone here will tell you! Every song you have done, she has displayed a different aspect of her voice which is uncanny. And this one, she clearly becomes the female Elvis.
On another note, thank you for providing links to Angelina's channels. It is so important to the artist to grow their channels as you grow yours. A suggestion as many other reactors do, is to verbally mention at the end of your video that your viewers go check out the artist's original channel and subscribe, as well as subscribe to yours. I'm sure you know this, but the music of HOW GREAT YOU ART is an old Swedish folk melody and the lyrics were written by Stuart K. Hine in 1953.
So - Angelina did a cover of Elvis' cover of Stuart Hine's words to an old Swedish folk melody.
That data might help your mother .. especially because Angelina is from Norway, neighbor to Sweden. 😊

If you like covers of Elvis Presley and like Angelina, may I suggest her cover of Always On My Mind... she did this cover as a tribute to her grandfather after his passing, do pay attention she has her cell phone facing the camera with a picture of him and she actually incorporates the word grandpa, as if talking to him... very emotional and heartbreaking to see this young lady struggle to finish the song before finally crying....
I don't like covers of Elvis at all actually - especially not when its being sung in the style of Elvis.
This on the other hand was a pleasant surprise - Angelina did Elvis proud with this :)

Check out "I'm Still Holding Out for You". It's a leaked recording. She was 10 when she did this. Story is the person who wrote this (I'm telling you now I suck at remembering names), with a odd name, sent it around to get someone to do it. Angelina was the only one who did a demo for this artist. He liked it, but because she wasn't signed to this particular recording comp., it couldn't be released. But someone did leak it, but no one knows who. I heard the original artist do this a few days ago. Basically, he did a copy of his own song.

@@DancingCoder I just got over my brain fart; the name I think he goes by is "Baby Fuzz"? I know there is a Fuzz in his moniker. Can't remember his real name. Someone on Utube might pick up on this & fill you in on his name.
And his “copy” of his own song sounds like a poor cover.
@@bingobillable Ummm. Not poor. But; it could have been produced better. He has a, what I call a mellow jazz vocally. It's all the extra background I found was just too overpowering for his vocals. And more than necessary. He knows Angelina's version is on Utube, but he never objected to her version. He's OK with hers being out there. He refused to have it blocked. Yes, hers is more popular. His version so far is in the 10's of thousands review while hers is in the 100 thousands. As for comparison, I'll leave to the listener.

I've probably heard this cover over 100 times, and she makes me cry every time. STUNNING!!! Angelina is also a huge Elvis fan, and she does something when she covers one of his songs that few females can do; she sings in the same key as Elvis. And when Elvis did this song, he was a baritone. She has covered him 6 times (I think), and I'm going to give you the links to two more of my favorites:

JUST SUBSCRIBED. Your channel popped up on my home page this morning for Feeling Good, one of my top 5 then I saw you did like another 6-7 videos right off the bat! You did the same thing I did a year ago when I first listened to her "Spell" video and I couldn't stop because I've never seen anything like it. A year later and I've seen every one on Rusty Shackleford's list at least once, several dozens of times. I've also seen many rehearsal videos which I find even more fascinating. As others have pointed out, How Great Thou Art was written by a Swede. On Angelina's father's Facebook page one of his "Likes" is for the Swedish Lutheran Church in Oslo, so it could be that Angelina has heard & sung the hymn in church. It was brought to the US and popularized by the late great basso-baritone George Beverly Shea in the middle of the last century when he began to sing it at every event of the Billy Graham Crusade for the rest of his life, so anyone who watched the crusade on TV during those years has heard it. For that reason, I have never considered it an Elvis song & didn't even know he had recorded it. Of course, most of what are considered to be Elvis songs were done first by others, except for those that were written for him. I think you would enjoy watching a Shea version for comparison.
You mentioned that you don't like Queen, but Freddie Mercury was a huge Elvis fan. Priscilla or Lisa Marie, can't remember which, gave Freddie one of Elvis's scarves which he often wore in concerts. Have you seen Freddie's rock-a-billy tribute to Elvis, Crazy Little Thing Called Love? A lot of people think that is an Elvis song, but it was written by Freddie after Elvis died.

I recommend the recordings of the Kongsberg concert ruclips.net/p/PLo0L_Qv5efA39qOsBFL05CoSkNMB-z8P- They are all decent. I'm still blown away by the fact, that she delivered that concert as a 12-year-old. Especially the performance of "It's a man's world" (also from Kongsberg) I liked pretty much. Others prefer the version with the military band, but I find the Kongsberg recording to be more powerful and much better in terms of audio quality. I also quite liked the solo on the electric guitar at the end. Well, you are also free to check out both versions of course.
