Such a great part of the world!
Great video. Nothing better than nature to show what beauty means. thank you of sharing.
What month did this trip take place? Epic views
This was in April, which is Fall in the southern hemisphere. What a spectacular place!
Que belleza!!! ☺ 🌺🌺❤
Qué linda es mi Patria! 🇦🇷 Aonikenk Chaltén
Truly beautiful!
very nice video was looking for some videos such as this one to get a feel for this park. planning for a trip in September/ October to hit the end of winter and early spring. Figured this would be the perfect first post covid trip.. what better way to truly feel the joy of traveling and seeing this incredible world than to gaze on the Patagonian landscape. was there a lot of hiking involved? and if so were you picky with your gear? I am debating whether to take my 200-500mm lens. cheers.
If you are going to visit El Chalten and Monte Fitzroy, you will end up doing a lot of hiking. (It is really beautiful, so very pleasant hiking.). That means being very careful with what camera equipment you take. By all means take your 200-500mm lens for parts of the trip where you are not hiking if you like photographing things like birds. But for the landscape shots, I think you will find it is far more comfortable to have these 3 lenses: 16-35, 24-105, and 70-300mm. Of these the first two will likely be used the most. I hope this helps!
@@DavidSkok1 that helps a ton.. I really appreciate your input. After what you just said I will probably adhere to your advice, I also just found out my 200-500 f5.6 ads nikon lens is NOT weather sealed, so that's another thing to consider, but the 24-200 is what I will probably stick with for the hikes. thanks again 🙏
@@saopaulosoul8714 Smart thinking!
Leaving for Patagonia tomorrow with two camera bodies, four lenses, and a tripod, tomorrow morning and this is very inspirational.
Jim Moyer have a great trip! Are you going to El Chalten (Argentina) where these were filmed?
BTW - I did two more videos which are here and here:

If you only watch one, do the third one.
music was not needed, but all else was beautiful.
amazing views, on what date did you visit that place?
We were there around the third week in April. Great time to see the fall colors.
Great. Going in a month! So stoked. What is the name of these falls you went on the first morning trip?
I think you are going to love it! Best trip I have ever done. I don't know the name of those falls. We were just taken there by our guide. Sorry I can't be more helpful. But you'll find this whole area is full of spots with waterfalls and amazing foregrounds. Have fun!
That light in the first location! Luck hits those who go out and try :)

Beautiful
Try searching Andrew Waddington, he was the first person i know to photograph this waterfall. He called it Cascada Veinticinco de Mayo. He shot it several times when the water level was much higher.
David, this is great! fantastic shots and great video - thanks for sharing these with everyone.
Admire your entrepreneurial mindset and your passion for photography - two totally different things in a perfect combination! Hope I'll meet you one day at some workshops you'll be delivering and stop by to say at least "Hi"!

Really good work on this video.
Thanks Tim!
How did you enjoy this trip? Im curious how the flights were getting there and where you went from. I am considering a photography trip through Patagonia. I am doing the financials of it. Not sure if id go with these guys or just hire a local pro/guide from Buenos Aires and maybe it would be cheaper.
It was the trip of a lifetime! Very worthwhile. This is definitely one of the most beautiful places on earth. We flew Boston, Miami, Buenos Aires, El Calafate. Takes longer than you'd think to get there. But for our group, easily worth the effort. If you really care about photography, then I'd recommend going with these guys, as they really understand important concepts like lighting, composition, and get you to the right places at the right time of day. With a local guide, I would worry that you would see the great places, but at the wrong time of day.
@@DavidSkok1 thanks!
Great shots, superb quality stills, and a cool choice in soundtrack!
ComfyCosi thank you!
