People in Nairobi walk with their bags tightly held close to their bodies especially in the road. She can do that from her laptop just how she was using it to track the phone. after which she can then add the new phone.

Am glad you are enjoying the city no one can stop you. One day I was walking to work and it was raining. I met with two thieves who had a pistol. I was behind a college girl. They stopped the girl and told me not to try to go backwards. I relaxed and told the girl to relax. They told us 'simu, pesa' (phone, money). The girl wanted to run and enter her gate because she was being robbed just outside her gate. It was raining heavily so there were not so many people going. I told her not to dare coz they might shoot her. We relaxed and gave them our belongings as if we were giving offering in church. I was so shaken and the girl started crying because she had her notes in the phones. I figured out whether to go back home but remembered I had some fare somewhere in the bag. I decided to comfort myself and go to work but before then I said a prayer for God to show the young men the way to stop stealing. The same week they were apprehended by mob justice and beaten thoroughly. Hope they stopped stealing. Am glad to see Rocio smiling.

So sad but one thing I've learned is always to carry my handbag close to my chest. Also put on a small coat on top to prevent it from exposure. It happens in big cities all the time. Very unfortunate it was in Nairobi. It's not about what colour you are but it happens to everyone. My friend lost her iPad while walking in the streets. What happened is not RO Fault. It is not Marwa's fault. The city has to stop these types of crimes. Police should not say such things as " Welcome to Nairobi "and accept things like it is! I as an international from Atlanta will not be visiting that place any time soon". There are safer places to visit. I hope the world see this and stay away until this place is no longer a cesspool or crime.

Nairobi, like any other large city, is safe depending on where you go. It's better if you are with a local and avoid certain places like the CBD. It's certainly not a cesspool of crime. People are moving their families from all over (even Atlanta) to Nairobi because of all it has to offer. It's unfortunate what happened to Ro but she and others should not judge a city based on the actions of one bent individual.

So sad but one thing I've learned is always to carry my handbag close to my chest. Also put on a small coat on top to prevent it from exposure. It happens in big cities all the time. Very unfortunate it was in Nairobi. It's not about what colour you are but it happens to everyone. My friend lost her iPad while walking in the streets. She shouldn't have exposed it. she learnt a big lesson since then. Just cover up like a tourist who are backpackers. Be street wise....all in all I pray that you get your phone back🙏🏽

What happened is not RO Fault. It is not Marwa's fault. The city has to stop these types of crimes. Police should not say such things as " Welcome to Nairobi "and accept things like it is! I as an international from Atlanta will not be visiting that place any time soon". There are safer places to visit. People are moving their families from all over (even Atlanta) to Nairobi because of all it has to offer. It's unfortunate what happened to Ro but she and others should not judge a city based on the actions of one bent individual.

Rocio can logon using her iCloud account she can get everything back from the other phone. It will work and look like the old phone. Also her iPhone should show the last location in that area.
