So, for the first boss, they just took the basic fish enemy from DKC2 and made it fly for some reason.

Donkey Kong Land was released before Donkey Kong Country 2 so if anything Donkey Kong Country 2 reused the fish boss from Donkey Kong Land and turned it into a besic enemy
