- A lot on 2b2t has changed over the years. But what still remains of "old" 2b2t? Today we are going to revisit and compare 2011 2b2t screenshots to today.

the saddest part about this is that 90% of these locations he have shown, that survived over a decade will get griefed.
he could have hid the coordinates, but there was probably a reason he kept them in
@@ArcticArca the coords are in the screenshots anyway
At least they'll survive in the memories of people for decades more
@@ArcticArca theyre gonna be found regardless
Yeah he would hide the coordinates, but he didnt, yeah thx salc1
I love how similar this is to actual archaeology.
"You see the dirt blocks placed in this pattern? This was an old tree farm." 2:56
"Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what this was used for. Probably just some decoration piece." 4:02
lol
It was actually a swastika the glass made the lava look like a swastika but when the glass got destroyed the lava swastika did not look like a swastika
probably a ritual
Or the fact that old builds regularly get broken down for scrap by newer players who need resources. Just like the coliseum in rome being used as a quarry.
@@12-343and also antiquarians trying to restore it
This is like when you revisit an old childhood game but it's not as good now as it was in your memories.
@Tiyaa"💖 bot
that describes minecraft pretty well tbh
to me, it's like visiting an Old European Structure that is all destroyed due to the invasions and wars
asphalt 8 for me :(
It's like time travel
Revisit the history
5:39 Minecraft release 1.0 changed sun rise and set from North and South to East and West so technically the screenshot is not lined up correctly at all hence the difference. The "f" in the screenshot reads 0 which is South ingame.
woah
No Wonder I remember the sun being in a different direction in Minecraft a long time ago! In terms of the screenshot, that actually makes a lot of sense!
It feels like revisiting your country after war. You look at place that once was beautiful , was your home . But now it's dust and bits of memories.
This has to do with Ukraine doesn’t it
@@Ccscenario course it does
Yeay russia is going to nuke the US

The screenshot at 3:19 was of a base called "Swastika Base", it was built in March 2011 and was first griefed April 2011 11 years ago, it was one of the first major bases to be griefed on the server and earliest documented grief on 2b2t
Good riddance
oh i see
Why does the phrase "swariska base" make me laugh.
Im not a dumb Child anymore why is My humor still soo terrible
If my meaning of Swastika base is correct then this is also the first good grief xD
What a shame.
I remember joining when the spawn was a massive empty area with lava walls surrounding it. What year would this have been?
It's actually happened a few times.
Could've been one of the April fools maps?
Maybe 2016 rusher era lava walls? Not sure about the massive empty area though
@@SalC1 hi SalC1
@@Arvl. hi Clogica
never thought we could literally have abandoned buildings in minecraft but here we area. This is actually so cool
whats the time now at your country bro
You must be new around here
New cobblestone: Lame
11 years old cobblestone:Epic
I bet all of those locations are gonna be a crater soon. Good going Sal.
i mean it's 2bt2 after all
Many of the coordinates are already leaked any ways
Boo hoo
Cry me a river
They literally already are craters
i love how sal is casually talking while people are arguing throwing curses and slurs at eachother in the chat XD
3:12 that "shut the f up" in chat cracked me up
i just love how much this video resembles an archaeologist uncovering ancient ruins, partly preserved partly lost. the excitement of finding old stones and walls still intact, the half-ruinous but still standing remains of an old farm, its almost funny how many parallels you could draw to say a Roman villa being uncovered from deep into some forgotten pit
Look at those textures. Pure nostalgia. They hit different now.
This video feels like an archeology adventure.
only on 2b2t will someone say "no way.... that is the same cobblestone that was in the back of the image!"
This video is encapsulates everything I love about 2b2t, and that sign farm was epic 🤣 Great work Sal 👏
Even though 2b2t is not a server I would ever make the effort to join (I'm not a competitive or thick-skinned person by nature, I wouldn't have what it takes to enjoy playing on the server), it's incredible to see the deep appreciation and respect some people on the server have towards the server's history, and the genuine attempts to document that history and even attempt to reconstruct historically significant builds. The server's history is fascinating and I enjoy learning more about it and seeing these sort of comparisons, it's very interesting!
Even if you try to join you'll have to wait 6 hours in queue if you don't pay
yeah i’m with you, just reading the chat in this video alone has convinced me to never touch this server ever
I wish there was a server that worked kinda like 2b, but for people with thinner skin like us. I mean.. fair is fair, i guess?
@@GumSkyloard I suppose the trouble is that a true anarchy server, like 2b2t is, will over time attract the trolls and other people who enjoy making someone else's life more difficult. So once you have an open anarchy server, while you may attempt to play nice there, and you may even find a group of like-minded people who also like to mostly play nice and build with them, the trolls will find you eventually.
(it's not really even about the fact that I wouldn't like lava casts and explosions and stuff. Sometimes it can be fun to wreck things, even the results of hard work. But I know that on an anarchy server I won't be able to choose which pieces of my hard work can get covered with stuff or blown to pieces, and which I'd like to keep intact)
@@elsalaiho1699 BIGGERS!!! MAGGOT GRAPE GANG GRAPE GRAPE GRAPE!!!
These kinds of vids always make me feel a little bad cause I know a week from now all these "intact" places are gonna be gone lol
4:35 this feels like how someone would react on some sort of old history TV series while exploring an old castle irl, haha.
1:20 am for me good time to watch a SalC1 premier
Exactly
This feels like visiting the ruins of an ancient civilization.
Leaking coords?? :(
Thank you for this blast of nostalgia. I started playing in Beta 1.2_02 and even though it wasn't on 2b2t, this made me reconnect with some of my favourite memories from those times on other servers.
You know, 2b2t really reminds me about Breath of the Wild, you can see how the land has changed over the years, and the differences are shocking.
Glad to see one of the most charming things about this server still existing,I remember in 2016 exploring and finding so many cool old builds
Very cool video
The old days of 2b2t bring back some of the best memories!
These before an after photos are so amazing, its like soaking in history, being able to witness a moment of the past
I can’t believe he leaked all the cords, gonna destroy this history
It’s 2b2T
Already gone
I know its sad
Exactly what I was thinking. Should've censored em
I mean, they are public coords you can find off of archives and the aforementioned Discord
I just realized in 2b2t you could be strip mining in cave or excavating a area for a base and those blocks you break could be older than your youngest cousin!
really crazy isn’t it?
That is so awesome! Please make more of those kind of videos comparing past to present!
Your videos are amazing dude, and I hope you know that :D
I also really like how you add all the music you're using in the end credits!
This video is so magical when you're high, keep it up man love your stuff.
Great Content, i’ve learned so much from your videos, truly inspiring!
I remember the base at 2:28. I maintained a melon farm there before. you should find doublechests full of melon blocks. If not then someone might have raided it
yo I actually really enjoyed this you should really do more of these types of videos as someone that logged in a couple times years ago just before the "Rusher" era its really cool to see how much things have changed
Hey, I love your videos, And I just wanted to say, your absolutely a legend, And I've Watched almost all of your videos. I love you and keep up the good work! 💖
Your Videos Are very interesting .
@@khalifaalawadii8536 forgot to switch to your alt before complimenting yourself or was that also meant for salc1?

Wow love how much effort you put into your videos
As awesome as it is to see some of these still intact, it's sad that they won't be anymore...
This video is way cooler that I thought it was going to be! Thank you for your efforts!
1:19 bitrate left the chat
Great video! Also nice star dew valley music
Each and every SalC1 video makes me rethink my humanity
Please do more of such videos - so entertaining! :D
If more screenshots with coords show up, I'd definitely love to see a sequel to that video.
By 2b2t standards, a house that got torn in half by a tornado would still qualify as "mostly intact," so long as you could still tell it used to be a house
This server just greatly shows the passage of time, how things change with time and how time changes things.
Sal be showing windmills of friendship like it ain't no thang.
Great to have been part (somewhat) of this project man!
Imagine a tv broadcast, with each seasons an era of 2b2t, with the incursions the first arrivals, the wars, hackers ect ect.
And sub series with stories of people trying to survrvive, seeing old bases from before in the main serie complatly destroyed in the sub series with a different perspective story speaking. This would be iconic as heaven.
Damn, throwback for real...KEEP IT UP!
Loving the video (and the GW2 music)
Bro i love your videos, so entertaining
8:59 he said bad word o:
0:
The before and after screen shots were awesome!
by making this video you're begging for them to be griefed
I thought the same thing
This was very interesting to watch for sure, can't really put it into words
the best thing about 2b2t is that it feels like there is so much history going on that its hard to document everything before new things are gonna be discovered for documentation
I have a map from 2013. I’m still working on it but it’s crazy how much my map has changed. You can see the outline of the old map. I tried to keep every block the same without breaking it because it has so much sentimental value. But that’s amazing but sad to see these relics being destroyed ☹️
I love the GW2 music in your videos.
i actually joined the amin0archive and when i saw that you were in the server too, i knew a video was coming
its so cool to see how those things survived the time, they are now part of 2b2t's history and going back to those places knowing that they've been that way since 2010-2011 is just crazy
I subbed because you make good content.
It's like going through the ruins of ancient civilizations or something. Love stuff like this
visiting abandoned 2011 places that are still there is like visiting ancient Roman ruins
It is nice to see, some respect is still on 2b and not everyone is a griever.
Nice music choice, Stardew Valley and GW2 are two of my favorite games.
That background music from Guild Wars 2 is very nostalgic. I remember the music despite me not playing it for 6-7 years.
Fire content as always
Well, these bases are probably gone now lmao.
I would of personally blurred cords to persevere the builds longer but this was a really good video other than that.
Thank u for the vid appreciate the work thank us and have a good day
I love how hausemaster is basically a celebrity and if he did anything on the server it would be a massive event
I was so confused cause i just closed GW2 and i was hearing the music, but it was the video! nice taste
this vid is awesome thanks sal
It feels like I missed opportunity to have just explored these locations. It would have been so cool if you used the screenshots to restore some of them to their former glory like the underground base. It would have been a nice sendoff to these decade old relics that will have likely been destroyed by viewers of this video since then
Sal hinting at us with the soundtrack that the next expansion for guild wars 2 released today!
4:00 if it helps, this base was called swatztika base
3:12 aaand now its going to be gone
Despite the carniage of the destroyed bases, it does look kind of cool.. like a battle had taken place here.
Crazy how things can stay the same, after years of destruction
It's so cool to see not everything has been griefed even though most of the builds will have been restored.
Blowing up these bases will be fun :D
Honestly, I’m still mad at myself for finding out about survival and multiplayer too late as a kid…
Same
5:28 1 mil town was really nice
I like how all the music you’ve played in this video sounds exactly like Skyrim music but then isn’t
amazing that some of these are still here, not for long though
You know what’s funny, I found you in that discord server after someone told me on Reddit there friend has a old screenshot server.
I think griefing signs and really old bases are some of the worst things you can do on anarchy servers
This is so cool. It's like visiting historical sights.
Weird, I placed that sign at Passie town that said “2b2t restorers here to help!” Never thought I’d see that again.
More wood was used into signs than builds on 2b2t. Mojang adding an ability for players to write down words is, hands down, the best feature for Minecraft multiplayer.
It's so cool to see pre-b1.8 terrain in modern Minecraft! 7:20
Babe wake-up, new SalC1
this is the type of documentary video i will watch while eating :3
i always wonder what the people are doing today that i used to play with back in the begging of minecraft and tb2t, a very nostalgic video
this was like
wow sal hasnt sworn yet
"what are you doing here villager, we are in the middle of fucking nowhere"
Hey Sal i think your Bitrate(or settings) in obs is a bit low i can see weird colour issues nice video though cheers
This is double nostalgic for me... first, 2b2t screenshots. And second, the music from Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2.
I was in an older base once, while exploring. I didn’t pay much attention. It was completely made of cobble (how I knew it was older + signs). It was relatively unharmed.
So much for a war on trees, most these accessible locations have their shrubbery intact
babe wake up SalC1 just uploaded
That's some interesting screenshots. Now, the people who made these screens are probaly adults now, and probaly haven't logged into 2b2t in years now. But it's still incredible that there are some historic artifacts left, that were not destroyed (yet)
"Let me guess, your home?"
"It was...and it was beautiful"
