They really should have called this season, “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Winner’s Circle.” It’s so weird to me that they’re just calling it All Stars 7, it really makes the fact that they’re all winners feel completely unimportant and disregarded.

I don’t understand whaat the common denominator is in your list? Willam, pearl are banned by WoW. Vixen is batshit crazy and banned by WoW. Asia is in the Vegas review. Wow seems to like her but knows that she is not particularly good tv. Jaymes is in the upcoming All Stars early outs season and is on very good terms with WoW. Nina , correct me if I’m wrong, is not on horribly bad terms with WoW or Ru, right?

I wish the cast was more than just queens who’ve won in the last 3 years, if they had more queens from jinkx and raja’s era it would’ve felt more intense than it actually is, I’m just whelmed
bebe wasnt going to return again - tyra cancelled - sharon cancelled the only other option is bianca and violet the former probably declined and the latter probably wasnt invited for the first go or she probably declined too and obvs chad said they wouldnt return so theres really only like 2 options lol

Tbh it’s probably because the “legends” (Bianca, Violet, Bob, Chad, Sasha, even Trixie) do not need the money especially when they have businesses to attend to. Going on All Stars for them and not winning would be nothing but a waste on money. I think Raja ans Jinxx just are doing it for fun and to make their fans happy.
Yea I wish they had only winners from non all star seasons like Raja, Violet, Sasha, Bianca, Bob, Jinx, & Aquaria. A good mix of comedy and look queens would be way more entertaining.

I completely and respectfully disagree. I think all the winners deserved it. I’d argue that just because you think someone else was more deserving, doesn’t mean the actual winners didn’t deserve it. It kinda implies they did shit on their season, or didn’t perform well enough to win. Just my two cents tho.

This!!! I've seen people defend queens talking absolute unnecessary shade as "being real" or that it's fine cause it's "entertaining". It kills me all the time thinking about how we’ll never get a cast like AS2 again, or even just regular seasons that had depth. The relationships used to be so deep and drawn out. The newer seasons really just don’t have those standout characters and friendships anymore like how sometimes they even go back to before the show. Yeah, you know the girl cause she’s from the same city as you but have you competed against her in a pag and had her ‘steal’ your title… I didn’t think so lol. The fact that all-stars is every year doesn’t help either, if it was every other year you wouldn’t feel burnt out from seeing the same queens all the time, that’s what made AS2-4 feel special but now the same girl gets an all-stars run every other year…
AS2 was the real all winners season

With a prize of only 200k dollars I'm not surprised there's so many winners missing, like Violet, Bianca, Sasha and Aquaria, Bob said he would only come for 1 Million because anything below that would feel disrespectful from what they expect out of winners, still hope it's a fun season but having so many missing winners already takes away so much fashion and personality we could get.

I was a huge Yvie fan when she first showed up because she was a fellow zebra and bought awareness to it. Zebras are what the hEDS community calls themselves- hypermobile Elhers Danlos Syndrome. But now as she's had fame and unfiltered attention it's soured me a bit. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions but to use your platform to attack others is not cool.
Also, I'm excited for The Vivviene. I loved that she was doing a Priscilla inspired wig. I hope Raja isn't an early out. And I totally agree with the whole "drag family" being thrown around but not truly one. There are so many performers who deserve another chance and have grown up they are struggling because they are getting lost in the sauce. And it's sad many have had to quit because of it too. So my hope is in the early out/"fan favorite" season that's in the works.

I’m shocked they called it all stars 7. That’s weird to me. So before I used to be so excited when a new drag race season would come out, because you actually had to wait for it. Now they’re just being thrown at us like crazy, and I think it takes the excitement out of it
I agree with you. A season of people who don't get called as often, like Mystique, Venus D-Lite, Pearl, Nina Bonina Brown, Courtney, Willam, Jessica Wild, Nina Flowers, Vivacious, Utica, Mercedes Iman Diamond, Robbie Turner, Dida Ritz, and Ivy Winters would make an extremely interesting and watchable season.
The only thing is, it wouldn't really be fair to the other 13 people because you'd beat them all.

@@ASJattar my argument is about over saturation. At this point I don’t think that Rupaul and his production company have any interest in actually showcasing the talent of any of these amazing queens. They’re just interested in the millions upon millions of dollars in revenue from advertisers. They’re not even trying to reinvent the dynamic, they simply want more competition for the sake of competition. Enough already. It’s so so so tired and boring.

As for this season, IMO it will be difficult for Shea and Trinity to lose to any of the other girls. They are my top two Queens unless they get Naomi’d by the other girls if the season follows the previous elimination process.

I wish they kept this and All Stars seperate. I like the idea of All stars being for queens getting a 2nd chance and doing things like all winners and vs series seperate. It has nothing to do with the queens personally but I want to see glow ups and growth from queens who struggled their first time around.

However, since Rupaul has dropped the Miss Universe launch one queen per year gig, seasons have lost their initial shine for me. We see new and old queens ALL year long. Like, c'mon give us a little break to keep the mystery alive, to keep us in the edge of our seats a bit

To be fair a lot of the "villains" were more post drag race. Pearl wasn't a villain but was deemed one by wow production and RuPaul personally. Willam may have been a villain on season 4. I think she and Phi Phi kind of shared that role. Alexis Michelle was more the villain on season 9 than Nina.

The cast is sickening. However! Nina you have a very valid point. Production has a clear hand in the choosing and pickings of the queens. It’s unfortunate because there are so many talented queen’s that has graced RuPaul Drag Race. Hell there are different winners they could have picked from. Nonetheless, the season will be sickening. I hope they keep this winner addition of all stars.

As a fan of the artistry on the show, I liked the idea before seeing it come to life. I am disappointed though because you’re so right others could’ve gotten another chance such as yourself. The cancelled queens series I can’t 😂😭 that would definitely be a smart money move, but they wanna play it real safe and make their favorite successful queens even more successful. And that’s also not a bad thing, but the struggle is so real during all these historical events, so they should’ve given others queens who also made them money a chance to be more successful.

i think they did an all winners because folks have been talking about the idea but you’re absolutely right, they do NOT utilize the full roster of Rugirls at all. i want to see an all stars season full of girls from earlier seasons only or early-outs, honestly
