That's very true! I just realised that once again. I actually only found out about this song two days ago, I have no idea how I hadn't heard of it before. AB has been my favorite band since 2010
I'm as big of an AB fan as you'll ever find, but I DEFINITELY value THIS version of AB over the new over-produced "Pawns & Kings" version. This sounds WAY more raw and natural. LOVE IT
It's probably because ODR was their only album not produced by Elvis this album was produced by Ben Grosse I think they should work with him again even if it's just once
Solace was recorded during the One Day Remains sessions but never released until AB’s third live album Live at the O2 arena. It definitely screams Creed and it makes sense because it has a very religious vibe to it imo and my guess is that it was meant as a Creed song before they broke up and started AB
@@Dickcheese2011 Well maybe Stapp didn’t write it himself but Mark definitely might’ve wrote it and maybe as a Creed song before creed disbanded. But that’s just my speculation because at least to me, a lot of one day remains was very Creed like.
😎I love this song!!! The Chorus is Awesome .😇 🗣️I pray🙏🏻my days will bring me solace and I'll have faith , I'll find the way🚶 to better to morrow a better today ... Thanks for share this!! 😃👍🏻
Alter Bridge needs a b side album but they probably can't release this song since Wind Up owns it. They would need to re-record it to get it on a b Side album
This is easily the closet we ever got to a religious song from Alter Bridge which makes me think that this was written during Creed’s initial final days as a band. was probably meant for them until they broke up
Thanks for pointing that out. Until now, the lyrics always confused me. It certainly speaks to Stapp, which would explain why it stayed a b-side. Myles has questioned religion for many years. And Mark is rather passive on the subject.
@@SunDedGon I’ve seen a blackbird era interview where mark states that he’s a Christian but later on in a loudwire interview he’s stated that he doesn’t believe in a specific religion but has his own version of God. Myles has stated that he grew up in a Christian Science house but now he’s sort of grown away from those beliefs.
@@MegaChorro123 Agreed. I think it's their best work since Fortress. "Peace Is Broken" was my favorite track from AB until I first heard "Sin After Sin."
Really? Full Circle had a totally different vibe/sound to me Full Circle is what would become the core sound of AB3 and even Fortress it was more fast paced guitar driven where this is more somber/slow it fits more into Creed's early work
@@bryanlenihan5012 it could fit into their early stuff easily. But go back and listen to their early guitar tones VS the clean guitar tones on Full circle. Their almost identical.
I've come across a dozen or so botched transcriptions of this song. Sadly, that's the case with most of their b-sides. It baffles me how committed people are when posting lyrics along with their favorite songs and then perceive themselves to be passionate, but completely neglect to give the lyrics a careful listen. God-forbid they question context validity within the assumed lyrics
Still listening in 2022. Older Alter Bridge is golden. All Alter Bridge is golden, but old Alter Bridge is fantastic!

2024
This needs to be released on Spotify ASAP!!!!!
I really do ask myself how I did not know this song until now, it's fucking beautiful. And now I wish that it would be on spotify
I love this song is a such a master piece!

I agree
Totally agree! Pawns & kings sounds good too imo, but at parts a bit random or too much or indeed overproduced
It's probably because ODR was their only album not produced by Elvis this album was produced by Ben Grosse I think they should work with him again even if it's just once
How tf have I gone so long without knowing this song is a thing?! I’m an absolute AB nerd and never knew this was a song

That’s what I’m saying bro this is one of their best songs and it’s a bonus track??? This song belongs on a record.
Such a gorgeous song!! Means a lot to me.

Love this song
Perfect group playing a good song which I`ll play on a Christmas present that I haven`t bought yet.
Love that, and whole band
It's a sad thing Creed never released a live album during their time. But don't worry, Alter Bridge is the real deal when it comes to that band.
actually, they did.
@@jeptime657 That was a concert video, not a live album.
@@dw89music73 ah, i see.
Yes they did, Live at San Francisco 1999
@@tonicesar3704 Is it a bootleg or an official release?
thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Solace is on the 3rd disc of AB Live from O2 & Rarities :)
Nice ballad!

Which makes it more palletable than the over-produced stuff they come out with recently. Love THIS

Fair enough but honestly I think they’ve grown musically over the years. Pawns and Kings was fucking excellent imo.
