Great video. I've done this with a much smaller piece. A painstaking and to be honest, I found it to be a bit of a nerve wracking project. One never know whether the piece will blow up in the kiln.
@@reidasage Nice thanks a lot for the reply il be making one soon i think, I never knew of this technique. This will be a game changer in my clay sculpting
It is with great pleasure that I watch you create your sculptures, it is really fascinating, thank you
Thank you!
Just beautiful! I love the idea of cutting the sculpture into pieces before scooping out the excess clay❤❤

Very good and beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
дуже гарно
Thank you
crikey.. thanks :)
😁
3/4 inch seems really thick. Will it now easily crack or blow up?
It survived the kiln beautifully!
How long did you let the sculpture dry before doing this?
Its more about the texture rather than timing. You want it to be leather hard.
My mind is blown! Can you please tell me if I can use clay that I throw on the wheel with to sculpt with?
Yes you can! 😁
If using air dry clay do you still need to hollow out?
I wouldn’t think so. It has to hollowed with the clay I’m using since it’s fired to 2200 degrees and would explode otherwise. 😁
Amazing! What clay did you use? Thank you
I’m using a mid range clay from Highwater Clay.
Thank you!!
is that canvass you roll the coils out on or what is it??
Yes it’s canvas stapled to a board!
