I wish ol' DW could've had a full season at the end for DEI. DW had a good run in Japan in 98 too in the #88 car (in place of Dale Jarrett.) he was running great, had a top5 going until he wrecked.
@@DerrickRG Haas Carter was worst with DW. Spencer never blew the doors off anyone in the 23 or 26, but he was never DNQing races like DW was. I understand it was a "new" 66 team, but Haas/Carter was far from being a new organization.
That lap around Indy was unfortunately the highlight of his year
Yeah sadly it was
@@CTRacingCornerIt was his best finish of the year as well: 12th place
You are right about that to
After you watch this video, watch Brock Beards season recap, just great stuff. Thank you for this footage!
No problem I love Brock bread I watch his videos

Yeah me to man
DW deserved much better he was one of the best race drivers ever
Yeah he is
That team was horrible. He didn’t have much to work with.
Indeed it was it sad I felt like he could have won a race if he was with dei
The team was definitely in the skids but they had no problem getting good Q runs the following year. Darrell was beyond washed at this point.
Ehhhh Jimmy Spencer and Todd Bodine did much much better than DW.
@@benscovil Well yeah, I'd expect a team to get a little bit better over time.
