The hospitality sector has absolutely been thrown under a bus. We are no further on. These are WEF minions. No good for us. Wexford is seen as a pain in the arse. Seriously the good people of Wexford destroyed in so many angles. Keep going Verona

They think throwing people a pittance will buy us it won't. We have 14 years of misery to reflect on.

Today's budget ignored the hospitality sector, which directly employs over 270,000 persons. I want to highlight that it also creates an enormous amount of wealth, up to 7 to 9 billion Euros annually. We are not looking for something special; we're looking for help. The minimum wage has increased by 2 levels, which are not sustainable, particularly for small indigenous businesses and in the hospitality sector. Energy costs are rising and will continue to rise. Short-term solutions do not solve long-term problems. We were hoping for a 9% rate cut in the hospitality sector, which we did not get. This is alarming and needs to be looked at again. Please pass on this message to the Minister for Finance and other relevant ministers before it's too late.

Tourism is the heartbeat of real Ireland. All of our productivity is being tied to multinational corporations that could leave tomorrow! Everything homegrown is being decimated!

Deputy Murphy, you, at least, are a politician whose feet are firmly on terra ferma.
Keep up the excellent work of holding some of the more deluded government ministers to account.

According to the AA's monthly fuel price survey, petrol currently costs 179.95c per litre, with 56% of this total coming from taxes.
