thanks for checking out this video. while lots of the breakdowns on my channel show more complex lighting setups, I often run simpler setups for certain projects as well as my talking heads for youtube. hope that something in here would be helpful to you :) oh and this is your reminder to add zip ties to your kit because plants rarely are looking their best 😉
@@blasepivovar this speaks to most of your videos like this one, but seeing a wide of the setup for the interview while you explaining what it all is and why you are using it.
Very well breakdown! But may i ask how do you connect the boom mic(wired) into the Cam A? Do you use the Recorder or directly into the camera? Thanks in advance
the MKE600 comes with an XLR to 1/8" cable. So long 25' XLR from mic to camera and then I use that cable to plug straight in. The mic has a AA battery so no need for phantom power
Hey Blase, how does the Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 compare to the asigna 18-35mm? I currently own the 17-70mm (love the feel of it, its so light even though its a bit long), but your Sigma footage is so stunning, im thinking of maybe picking one up. But if you can get shots like the Sigma on the Tamron, i might not need it. Thanks, love your content!
hoping to do a video on it eventually! Really just depends on what you shoot. If you already have the tamron, I can't see the 18-35 adding a ton other than an extra stop of light and just a tad more depth of field
How do you handle different sized people? I found myself multiple times dialing in the framing for the first interviewe. Then the second person is way taller even sitting down. I have to adjust height of the cameras.

yeah usually have to raise or lower the camera with each person!
why the two shotgun mic,s , although only one seems to be plugged in ? thanks.
for redundancy. one into the a cam, one into the b cam. one is wired the other is wireless 🤙🏼
@@blasepivovar ok got it , thanks .
