never heard of brusho till I joined an online art class recently. Now I love it. I have got the 12 set and the sprinkle set and just going to get the 8 sets. I think its amazing when you sprinkle it on wet paper and the myriad of colour emerge.Magic.I have subscribed . I have so much to learn. Thank you for putting it on youtube.
One technique I learned from Jene Stroud is to tap Brushos into a piece of folded paper & use that to sprinkle it onto the page. Gives you much more control. Colourcraft also mention that the crystals are different sizes, so just putting a tiny hole in the top prevents your from getting the full colour depth. I love seeing tutorials on using Brushos so thank you for the ideas
Love your teaching methods. Plus, I have to say your fingernails are amazing. I look forward to watching different videos and learning new techniques & seeing your new nail designs.
Nice ideas! Just got some Brusho pots today so playing around with them and looking for inspiration. I got individual pots from Ken Bromley. I stuck a thumbtack in the lid to turn it into a sprinkler but I see you have greater coverage and control with a brush. I want to see if I can do little landscapes or seascapes with them. Also thought they would make nice abstract flowers.
Clear corn syrup makes a good wrinkle-free adhesive for non-archival projects. It is mildly acidic, but would likely take several decades to degrade your paper.
Lovely ideas! I don't know if you can get green painter's tape like frog tape or painter's mate at your hardware store, but that's designed to release completely and it doesn't pill up watercolour paper nearly as much as regular masking tape.
Hello - from New Jersey USA - The art is lovely. I’ve watched a whole bunch of your videos today! Thanks so much for creating them. And, yes, I think I’ll try these....and your mouse ring is so adorable! How unusual.
Thank you so much! I bought the mouse ring in a second hand market whilst visiting my daughter, it was really cheap, like £5 but I wear it all the time :-)
Thank you so much for this technique using brusho…I love the stuff but as you showed, it can be a challenge. Loved the last “ bobble” and how the paint made the snowflake-like designs. Had it been me, I’d have left that to dry and then painted in the edges of the bobble so as not to disturbed them. Just my idea, don’t know if that would work or not. Loved this and I hope you had a lovely Christmas.👍👍🙏
Helllo Michelle, I really enjoy your art channel. I had heard about Brusho, but I had know idea what it was? Thank you for this informative & creative art and watercolour technique. You are also very humorous and entertaining. I am a dental hygienist (Canada) and I love your dental hygienist jokes. You have been such an inspiration since Covid lockdowns started last year. I am an avid follower. I just purchased a large order of soft Unison pastels from Jackson’s art UK, can you teach a session on soft pastels and ink? you are an Excellent Instructor Thankyou!
Ah thanks so much. Love to dental hygienists, they get my poor British teeth somewhat better looking :-) I do plan on doing more ink and some soft pastels later this year!
I go into my local D.I.I centre and ask for some low tack masking tape,I got 2 for 50p each ,also just another hint put a small hole in the lid of your pots then you can shake it out without it going all over you, hope you don't mind me sharing my tips ,Thank you x
Some of the Brusho mixed pigment colours make their colours up from the component parts: For example grey is a mixed colour that contains all three of the primary colours. Therefore when you sprinkle the brusho on you might see red, yellow, blue etc, but if you mix until all the pigments are dissolved you would get the grey. Not all their colours do this, some are single pigment, but many are mixed. The black shows many colours, and doesn't actually appear black until you blend them together.
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber we just call them glue sticks lol. meanwhile i die a little everytime you talk about using a rubber XD. I know you mean eraser but my sense of humor is so immature.
Let me know if you plan to try any of these designs!
i am going to try the designs, maybe the snowflake first.
I will try these! Last year I made my first watercolor Christmas cards to send to my friends.

That is awesome! I find my students either love Brusho or hate it!

Looked really nice...would love to see the final product of what the card looked like; how it was mounted, etc.

The tip about 'de-stickying' masking tape is one I've never heard! I'll try that next time I paint.

Great idea!!
I use the glue dots. They come in many sizes and are so easy to put on the back of your card painting and you’re done.👩🏼🎨
Great tip!
Cant wait for my Brusho to come.....An after Christmas activity, I think..

Pull masking tape off at 90 degrees,in theory it shouldn't tear the paper ☺
Never heard of brusho, this looks a lot of fun
Yes it's unpredictable fun!

Tips are great, thank you!
Interesting stuff, will have to give it a try someday. Merci!
Have fun!
I loved this video! But I don’t understand where the red and orange specks came from??
