LOVE IT. I am a bass fisherman and I love using the biggest lure in my tackle box to try to catch fish... there is something special about catching a beast on a monster lure.

Man these videos with the huge lure are amazing, the lures are just so meticulously made, you know that someone put lots of time in each tiny detail of the lure. And then you get to watch these lures catch monster pike, gets you exited just by watching. That lure sorta look like the redhorse that pike in my river are used to eating and it would honestly be an honor to fish with one. Awesome fishing, and some insane pike eats!!! I used to live in Canada near the northern lakes, and one of my favorite things to do was to go top water fishing in the morning for big pike!!! I have since moved and now live In Florida, and since this lure is tarpon themed, what better way to put it to work than catching some monster tarpon in the shallows, it would be an awesome experience and all around a crazy time!!!!!!
People in my area say there aren't pike so big to attack giant lures, but I always catch them with biggest lures from my collection. Would love to add that tarpon lure to my collection and try to catch a pike with it. Awesome fishing adventure you had. 😍
Fish can eat other fish 2/3 their size. Northern Pike are aggressive and will go after anything opportunistic. Although the fish in this video aren’t really that big so I’m not sure why they are calling them monsters lol.
First time viewer and what a great trip and effort with the giant lures. I fish with 25cm soft plastic swim baits and that made me sore in 2 days of casting for Murray Cod I'm sure you felt it for a couple of days but that pain is a reminder of that beast of a Pike
It would be fun to win the big lure because in my river near my house it goes a rumour that its a big pike (10kg+) there and i have also seen it when i fished a couple off days ago and it would be fun to try to get it hooked on the big bait. I hope i win it😁
I’m hearing for Åland to try the fishing. I cross the baltic sea with my boat from Öregrund. Would be a dream to try this lure. Special year for me battleing a hard cancer but this will not stop me.
I feel that those swimbaits would be insane to throw at some 50"+ muskies in Northern Minnesota, they just never see something like that really. I actually started filling out my big swimbait stuff to throw this year for them and big pike so loved the video, crazy stuff in there.
I know a spot in Northwestern Ontario where huge 50 inch northerns gather. Our biggest was 53.5 one day with 2 others touching 50 inches. We normally see 2 pound fish sticking outside their throats when boated. Those big baits would be attacked numerous times.

We have a joke like this between my fishing buddies and I. When the duckling musky lures came on to the market; one guy took a floating Canada goose decoy, and hung the biggest treble hooks he could find off the keel. To this day, you're bound to hear someone scream 'duck eater!' if one of those guys gets a big hit.
Back when I was a kid, we had a 127cm pike swimming in one of the neighborhood canals. I've seen that fish drag down and eat full grown ducks on 4 separate occasions. Not quite Canadian geese, but regular mallards aren't safe with big pike and musky around. If there's Wells catfish, the geese better be careful, too.
Man the amount of work that goes in to these baits is crazy and they look amazing. I throw big baits here in Texas for big large mouth bass but the biggest bait I have it 11 inches😂

I could actually use the lure. I live near Traverse City MI. There's a Marina where at this time of year you can see what looks like huge logs on the bottom. Then you rip a treble into them and watch a ball of muddy water and your reel peel every inch of line of in seconds causing friction smoke (no joke) I have thrown everything i have at them and they aren't interested. Hence the for e feeding just to laugh as they head for deep water.
I will be spending the summer in Sweden doing some fisheries research and I am hoping to find some great pike fishing. Coming from the U.S. I'm sure I will be amazed!
I always found Blue Fox Vibrotails, ACME Thunderbolts, Mr. Twister Sassy Shad (3 inch w/ jighead) and the Williams florescent orange and nickle hammered spoons were always the best for both lakes that were stocked with both Walleye and Pike! Ii grew up in the 1970s using these lures and these were the best of the best! Waliking away with any fish is always better than walking away with no fish!
Over here in Canada we find some big pike in some crazy places. I’ve seen a 121cm pike pulled out of a creek that’s 3 feet deep and about 30 feet wide. Lol. They are awesome fish to catch.

You should do this challenge in a real BIG FISH water. Somewhere a 100cm pike is a normal fish. I'm thinking of big alpine lakes like lake Geneva or the Netherlands !

When casting heavy weights, the leader gets shocked and eventually snaps! try changing it every few casts if you dont want to upgrade to "rope"

Just make sure to match the weight of the bait to what the rod is rated to handle. That pike lure would snap 2/3 of my rods if i tried to cast it.
