84 all the way. Smiles and tears, you nailed it right buddy. The whole spectrum. Watching the first TV airing of Robocop through a faint living room door opening while unaware parents were sitting after sending me to my room since "it's for grown-ups, darling". Seeing my mum timidly pulling some moves on a Pop Rock Top-50 with blurry recollection of what I think were Bon Jovi's and Jimmy Lee Ross' doing their stuff on the magic TV. The Vinyl playing some Abba tune. The custom lamp hi-Fi player. Dad coming back and pushing the VHS recording of MacGyver in after coming back from work. Ghostbuster trailer here, Rambo 3 there, the Fugitive's giant ad right outside our street. And of course, the most vivid memories of them all : the Amstrad CPC 6128 and the NES, and a one-hour priviledge to play them per week, and good marks at school as a requirement to keep it. Disney shows on Saturdays. Classic anime on Wednesdays. Grew up among stars only to realize it too late.
Was born in ‘77...as a kid in the 80’s, I loved all the joys and pain, experiencing that decade. I absolutely cannot believe I am still alive today, when I should have been dead several times over. Every time, I listen to some 80’s music, it takes me back that place...only those who have experienced that era, know what we’re talking about...
I don’t know why I’m crying on this video although I’m 1993. I really feel how we badly miss the old days. Where the peace and simplicity were possessing every single thing. Tearing from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
To all of you missing your childhood, please don’t be sad. Sure we may not be able to go back per say, but we can still very much hold onto who we were during that time. Maybe life says we have to move on and no turning back, but we all have the power to stay in touch with who we were / the child within us. I make it my life’s mission to never lose touch with my childlike essence. I won’t let the world say that I can’t have it. It is still a big part of who I am, no matter how life tries to abruptly take it away. I love you all.
Best part of coming home after school routine - drop off backpack, walk over to friends house, knock on the door and ask if they can play. Great care free memories.

Unfortunately, we don't have this same level of optimism anymore and we need to change that. Perhaps, these wonderful reflections of the past can inspire a new renaissance which revives what was truly joyful and pure. I want to be a part of that and I want that feeling to be returned again so others can be inspired as well.
Takes me back to riding my bicycle with a good friend by the beach on a Saturday after watching the morning cartoons, with the cool breeze in my face. They say good music takes you back to a place and time in your memories that you hold dear. Awesome stuff!
Amen. Grew up in Hawaii and that all we did Saturday morning. Watch cartoon at 7 am and Beach with friends later in the afternoon. Life was so easy and carefree when you're a kid 😢🙂

Guess we are of many 80s babies on here all coming to go bac in time and boy how this footage takes us there no words needed in this song here cause the footage jis sings to us all
I like to listen to this while working, and what came to mind is it reminded me of those 80's movies where the guy and girl are falling in love and there's the romance and they start to kiss... It reminds me of my first love... Very sentimental beats and rhythms... :)

NightmareHero hmmm.. Interesting. You were born in 1987 and your first memories that you could possibly remember were probably circa 1990. So most likely you don't really remember the 80s. You were really a child of the 90s.
Been listening to Synthwave for years. Giving me nostalgic and melancholy feeling and all even some shed of tears in some synth music. But this .... after all these years listening to synthwave, this is how nostalgia feels like. The childhood days you know you'll never return to and its memories never forgotten. It's been quite some time i shed a tear on music video. As a child Some of cartoons and games viewed in this video i actually experienced. Best days of my life. 1980s and 1990s ... wish i was born earlier As Dr.Seuss said: "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened."

This takes me to a very special time and place, hence why im sitting here with tears in my eyes. Funny how the right images and music can do that to a person. I Love this video.
I was a little boy in the mid to late 80s...i remember watching saturday morning cartoons with my dad and this was back when you didn't mind watching the commercials in between the shows because I wanted to see the next transformer toy that was coming out or g.i. Joe play set that I wanted. thanks for the nostalgia...miss those days. if time travel was a thing I would go back to 1984 and never come back ✌
I think we should build a nation where everything is just like the 80s n 90s. No fancy technology! STRICTLY NO SOCIALMEDIA! and offcourse NO INTERNET! Who's with me? Thumbs up!
I was thinking about this yesterday. I told my friend there should be a town, or a few towns close together, that were built to feel like the 80s where there were no internet besides a couple hot sports because you may need to get in touch with elsewhere in the world as everyone else uses technology. So perhaps a specific place like in a library or the city halls or something. Otherwise. The towns would only have 80s themes buildings. Local TV stations and radio station played 80s music, movies, and TV shows. Stores sold product with 80s packaging. Only 80s vehicles are allowed. 80s clothes are sold in local stores and everyone wears 80s fashion. Schools are run as they were in the 80s but with updated textbooks (and allowed to use computers Only if needed by curriculum) so that they comply with the state and federal education laws. Everything in these towns would be 80s themed and would be popular tourist attractions. I'd move to a town like this in a heartbeat.
Born in 87, I always listened to the 80's, because my parents loved them. So as a result I detested the 90's, and wondered what the social life was like. Everything is so serious, its heartbreaking...
I'm french, and I don't recognize every commercials or cartoons here, but just a few of them. And that's enough to make me remember a part of my chilhood, a part of my life. I almost feel sad after that, especially with this music in the background. Oh dear... how the late 80's was so good ! ;-(
Such wonderful music to accompany old memories as they blissfully flash before my eyes. I love it when a video can make me smile and gives me a warm feeling all the way through. Thanks!
Even after all the people who were alive in the 80's have long gone, the people who were born after it, will make sure it never dies, that's the power of the 80's. the music transcends generations.
When I was a kid, my older siblings gave me a huge vhs collection with recorded 80's TV shows on them, commercials and all. They still bring back great memories. Thank you Timecop 1983 for letting me relive those moments.
The late 80s was a magic time to be alive. I remember it so well even know I was so young living in San Diego. If I had to choose to live the rest of my life in the eighties I would do it in a heartbeat
Reduced this 38 year old man to tears too. Just through some crazy bad luck, everyone I've ever known and loved, who knew me and loved me, is long gone... But these weren't just sad tears, there were plenty of happy ones too. I keep hearing these health insurance commercials in the background when the TV is on, and they keep saying over and over, "Call now! It's free! And won't cost you anything!" But that ain't true. It's going to cost the people that call, what I consider to be, the most valuable thing any of us can give or receive. And that's our time. Think about it, if you give someone your time, it's theirs forever, and you can never get it back. Sometimes, I'll spend maybe 30 minutes to an hour, writing or typing something meaningful about someone, to send to them for their birthday or something. And make sure to ask them how many other friends spent that much time on them for their birthday. Anyway, this video also makes me think of one of my favorite quotes, from Star Trek: The Next Generation. From an episode called, "The Inner Light," from season 5, episode 25: "Seize the time. Live now; make NOW always the most precious time. Now will never come again." (Captain Jean-Luc Picard)
Everything I knew and loved is a distant memory. I hope I can see my loved ones again, I hope I get to experience the memories of my childhood that were so special, from Saturday morning cartoons to the sleepless nights before Christmas to summers at the beach with my family as a child. I hope that this life is not forgotten
@ the 0:32 mark, I recognized those cookies right away. My mom used to pack those in my lunch when I was in kindergarten/1st grade. That is what makes this video so special, it's not about the products but invoking a special time and place for many of us in our mid 30s-mid 40s range
I was born in 1989 and only caught a tiny glimpse of the 80's. From an early age though I gravitated towards the music and that feeling of nostalgia. Here I am watching this in 2021. WTF happened to us.
Looking back, my childhood was pretty damn good and despite the overwhelming number of cartoons, whacky shows and action figures produced in the '80s we still found time to go outside and have fun! We were always looking to a brighter future too.
After going through some of the comments, I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was truly feeling this song and just having a major moment of nostalgia and our childhood, back when things and people were much more simple and we were happy just being kids. Damn this song really hit the spot tonight.
The 80s...the best decade...the best songs...the best movies...the best school friends...the best saturday morning cartoons...the best time of my life....I miss those times....my 80s heroes are dying....so sad....I will never forget that decade...FOREVER IN MY HEART!!!!
I was born in 1998, I can only imagine how seeing this must feel for 80's kids. One day I'll be in my forties and I hope somebody will make a similar video. I think I'll cry.

everytime I watch this i feel wanna cry..why my childhood passed so fast...
You have a soundtrack for a lifetime... love all your songs.. keep up the great work!
A time of magic,
A time of dreams,
That was my life,
And it was real...
From an episode called, "The Inner Light," from season 5, episode 25:
"Seize the time. Live now; make NOW always the most precious time. Now will never come again."
(Captain Jean-Luc Picard)
Because that era was pure.
You make my day, everyday Timecop. My ultimate songs driving before i go to work. I feel like I can take on the World after these songs, thank you.
Looking back, my childhood was pretty damn good and despite the overwhelming number of cartoons, whacky shows and action figures produced in the '80s we still found time to go outside and have fun! We were always looking to a brighter future too.
Back when commercials were thoughtful and interesting-creative.
So glad to be from the eighties I love putting this music on my earphones and riding my motorcycle down by the beach yeah boy
Geez... What a feast to my eyes, ears ... and soul... Amazing compilation!
I'm only crying because my 2 year old son stopped everything he was doing to climb up in my lap and watch this with his Dad 😊
Childhood memories ❤️
After going through some of the comments, I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was truly feeling this song and just having a major moment of nostalgia and our childhood, back when things and people were much more simple and we were happy just being kids. Damn this song really hit the spot tonight.
