If you are a looking for a peaceful weekend getaway in affordable price, then dont miss this place. This is still unknown to many and a perfect weekend getaway just 180 km from Bangalore located amid the serene, calm, and peaceful environment.
The guest house here is newly built and not many rush here. You can play just Rs 1000 per room for 2 (kids below 5 free) and stay in this beautiful place. This place is nothing less than any high budget hotels in the mountains of Karnataka or Kerala in terms of view and location (offcoure don't expect services like 5 stars ).

Dhondenling was developed under the auspices of MYRADA, the Mysore Resettlement and Development Agency, which was formed in 1968 to assist the Indian government in the rehabilitation of Tibetans in what was then the state of Mysore. MYRADA used domestic and foreign funds to clear forests for housing and farmland, to build schools and water tanks, and to train Tibetans to run their own agricultural cooperative. It built the entire settlement from the ground up with the newly arrived Tibetans in less than five years between 1973 and 1978. Currently, the settlement covers 22 villages, also referred to as camps, each with up to 32 households.
There are 5 beautiful monasteries in this area and visiting each of them is different experience.

Sorry for the confusion, there are two sentences which as a flow sounding like one. I meant to say as per the weather and this hilly view which is very similar to Himalayan range, couldn't believe such view we can get in South as well, no need to travel so far..
