When learning a new move, i really appreciate teachers who break it down and let me know what exactly I’m not properly executing.
Then fun style for practice.. show me how to mix and match moves and have a blast.
As a switch who regularly steps the followers moves/styles to execute even as a lead, im all about having fun
Nice, thank you for your comment 👍
I like "tough love" to practice, practice and practice... And in the end, i like to have fun with what i learned.💃🏼 I like it when the move is very well explained, so that i'd correct myself from the beginning. I like your posts very much! 🤓
@@amax2020 thank you so much 💓
I lean towards a combination of all. I like instruction first with technical break-down first then watch, and then try it myself. I like having a song and practicing along with you to see if I am on beat. You’re a great teacher!!
@casapapel6281 thank you so much , I appreciate it 🙏
What's notable with different dancer teachers is how some (but few) really go into the detail & explain everything step by step, slowly & forensically. Other teachers opt for fast, fun but sloppy. Serious students - the former is the more ideal. Those just wanting a laugh, the latter.
@@podge507 I think a mix of both is good way to go no ?
You forgot the teachers who just ignore you and go on no matter what
@ricopapi83 Well, that's just rude 😒
Hi ! Rasa thank you so much. Very interesting conversation. You look Great 😊❤
@javiertapia4643 I appreciate it , thank you 😊

I like a combination which excludes, or minimises, the helicopter style... maybe 50% tough, 25% fluffy, 20% fun and 5% helicopter (for those trouble areas! 😅).
@@nathphil1968 I love that mix 😍
fun style is a big no no for me. it's a waste when it comes about learning, but may be good for people who just want to meet new people. helicopter sounds best for me, but might be overwhelming. actually now I just prefer workshops over classes, as I feel most instructors teach what they are best at. so, to find own style it's important to find as many options as possible and choose what you need or want to practice.
@spoonman1039 thank you so much for you comment ❤️
I want to get feedback so I don't get the wrong habits and to help me make progress.
I aim for social dancing, not performance, so I don't want nitpicking on every detail. I simply want my social dancing to be enjoyable by most partners.
@alfacentauri3686 that's definitely fair enough 👌 🙂
The invisible style is the worst.
The lack of individual encouragement or praise given to students by most teachers.
A kind word can mean so much,bolstering confidence.
Very true 👍
I am beginning to go old school and say that most teachers are fairly useless at teaching. They are good dancers and other good dancers can often pick up on their explanations but their knowledge of things like differentiation, learning outcomes and pace of lesson is non-existent. So many teachers have no patience and move too quickly as just one example.
A lot of truth to that 💯
Like the rasa style fun but informative
@ojolennon oh thats very kind, thank you 😇
