The Norwegian royal family is one of the most down-to-earth royal families of europe. They do not enjoy the luxuries and pomp and ceremony of the British royals. They are also one of the poorest royal families and live very simple lifestyles. They are extremely popular and loved by the people of Norway.
I love the Norwegian royal family. They are so kind and down to earth. Prince Haakon even uses public transportation.

I think Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway is one of the most Beautiful, Intelligent & Charismatic Young Royals, who is very close to the Throne, in the World. Like the more Senior Royals & King Harald V of Norway, she also enjoys a very relaxed & down to Earth life, where the Formal & Regal occasions are treated with Respect, not only towards the People of Norway & their Traditions & Culture, but also to Honour those Royals who came before them. The rest of the time, they live in a style where Common Sense & well mannered Courtesy & thoughtfulness towards others form their behaviour. Their are no Pompous Airs & Graces put on for the benefit of others, there is no thought of themselves as in any way Superior to any other Norwegian Family. They Love their Country & they Love the People of their Country & they Love nothing better than being out together at the Beach, Surfing, walking in the Beautiful Countryside, Sailing or bring at the Ski fields with their people. You won't see them getting their Security people to clear everyone away, so they can have the area to themselves & the People Love them for it. Princess Ingrid Alexandra is as Beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, she will speak to commoner Norwegians, the same way she speaks to Aristocrats or Nobles, she makes no distinction between the People of Norway, Rich or Poor, she treats all with Respect & Good Manners. She will make an Excellent Queen Reganent for Norway when the Time comes although the events that lead to that Role, must be hard for her to wish for that time. She Loves her Parents & Brothers totally & the thought of losing any of them must cause her pain & sadness.

Her family has not been on the throne for centuries. Danish Prince Carl was chosen as King of Norway in 1905 and took the name Håkon VII
Both Denmark & Sweden have ruled over Norway at one time or other, but the 3 Royal Housed have been intertwined through Marriage for Centuries. Prince Carl himself was a descendent of the Norwegian Royal Line himself, which is why he was offered the Norwegian Throne.

That level of closeness, is not shared between 2 Monarchies anywhere else in the World, let alone 3. There is no hint of Jealousy, Prejudice or of 1 Country claiming Superior Leadership over the others. The whole World should take a long look at all 3 & if they model themselves on those 3, there would be lasting Peace & a level of Sharing previously unknown in the World.

The name ‘Alexandra’ isn’t to honor Queen Sonja. It’s from ‘Alexander’ which was king Olav V’s birth name before he became prince Olav of Norway. And I believe her maternal grandmother took more care of the children rather than the king and the queen.

@@chemache8571 I Don't see what's so Funny. Both my Sons went to Prestigious Schools, we saw it as an investment in their Futures. They had friends all throughout their time at Secondary School, who were the Sons of Business People ranging from Shopkeepers through the Professionals, Dr's, Lawyers etc, to Politicians, Pilots, Military Personnel & University Educators. Both of them have a wide range of friends, incl. those who work as Labourers. It's not the environment of their School that makes a difference, it's the sort of Person you are. If you treat everyone equally, then you experience a wide range of Lifestyles. The limitations only come if you choose to focus solely on one type of Lifestyle. From what I've seen of Princess Ingrid Alexandra & her Parents, she appears to me to be a very well grounded Person, she interacts with a lot of different people crossing the whole Spectrum of Socio Economic Groups & all Classes within the Norwegian Society. Her Mother's background has no doubt helped. I think she is very much like her Father & he is very much the sort of person who treats people as he finds them, there is no Class conscience there at all. He believes that the most poorest people can offer just as much as the richest & values all inputs. The Norwegian Royal Family are, in my opinion, the least Class Conscious of all the European Royal Houses. They treat all their People with Respect & are interested in doing the best for all Norwegians, not just a specific Group.
