Its the most important thing to me. Im more baffled how I missed one EXTRA note! I started transcribing all of Allans material in order from the first IOU record on. So those are the dodgiest, if I don't go over them again. This was one I didn't think was a great lesson so I never really bothered with it. I did spend extra time on the tapping section to make sure that was legit. Only 4 lessons I wanna do left so I'm gonna go over them asap!
I love the originality of his chord voicings … they get overshadowed by his lead playing. But I cant think of anyone else who plays chords likes these on guitar… i could use an extra half inch on my finger length
Thank you! It was a late second addition so I didn't have much to think about haha. I was more thinking about the scales Allan uses the most. Major, Harmonic Major, Harmonic Minor, Melodic Minor, Diminished and Messiaen.
Excelent job my man! I have to admit that your lessons helps me a lot in the work of learning allan's song and I truly appreciate you! Could I ask if you can do a video about the song "endomorph", I'll be waiting you answer, greetings!
I like very much your channel, I look every video about analisys of holdsworth harmonies. It would be great if you analize the solo parts too, especially I would like to see a videos about none too soon album.
Thank you! I will only analize Allans charts if new ones become available. The solos themselves don't always tell the tale. Also I didn't do any songs off of None Too Soon because they're all covers. There also isn't a lot of Allan playing chords on it either.
For a beginner??? I'm no beginner but I feel like one when I attempt to learn any of Allan's tune. Thanks for another great lesson. What brand and model is that guitar of yours? It's looks fantastic..
@@bratman99 Well if you count the last note as an 8th note it certainly is a 4 beat phrase! Im pretty sure this is it because as I said its very similar to a common outside lick Allan employs pretty frequently.
@@TurrigenousOfficial I was actually thinking of that last note as a whole note at the beginning of the last of 4 measures, the first 3 being 4 quarter note measures...1234-1234-1234-1...i believe all 5 notes are there but it must mean there's a couple of eighth notes in there as well...
@@TurrigenousOfficial no problem partner.. i just got into him today... i always knew of him but have never attempted any of his stuff.. and know i got this super fast intro riff to deal with...... hahhahah 🙂 thank you amigo
This world needs more people like you
Thanks for keeping the torch burning for AH
Doing my best. Thank you! :)
Thanks for reposting! Your dedication to quality is admirable.

I agree! At first I was way more interested in his chordal vocabulary
Double harmonic major has 3 notes in a row. 1 b9 3 4 5 b6 7 . Great vids from you. Thanks

Thank you! I got it new directly from the factory. Haven't purchased another guitar since!
Excellent! Thanks for the great work! Roadgames is one of my favorite AH songs.

Thank you! I love that track but it switches tunings so its impossible to teach for a regular guitar. Sorry!
@@TurrigenousOfficial oh, that's sucks! But thanks for answering anyways :)
God damn, those chord shapes are hard. That Material Real chord sounds amazing, but a 7 fret stretch?! Jesus!
Allan looking like a maniac in the thumbnail.. crazy eyes!
nice video man, nice playing.
Thanks!
amazing song, so so good
Great video !!!

Haha well I should have specified beginner for someone starting to learn Allan tunes. Thanks! The guitar is a PRS Modern Eagle II.
@@TurrigenousOfficial I'm rackin my brain here...I think the intro is a 4 note phrase...love ya man..
Make that a 4 beat phrase...

thx from Berlin
Why is it called music theory?
I dunno. I personally never liked the name. It isn't a theory haha
there is no 10 fret first string d note on the beginning run.. listen closely .., :-) nice lesson partner
Thanks! Allan must have missed it then haha but that's the pattern. It's a common pattern Allan used when soloing

@IamtheI No prob! Have fun on your journey. I have a ton of Allan vids waiting for you 🙂
you can check out the bass solo here if desired: ruclips.net/video/6bUTmLz7sso/видео.html
I remember you posting it! Someone got upset because I said that was my favorite part of the song haha. Did a fantastic job.
