question .. probably silly but .. if you have a tilt head and you grab a branch on say a 45% angle , will the grab still be quick enough to catch it and secure it ?
Hi Jim! That is a good question and it depends a lot of the pressure and flow rate one might get for the shear. The TMK Turbo cylinder would be the best choice for this as the smaller cylinder is so fast that it would catch the branch. But as I stated on a 45% angle you shouldn't have a problem if you have high enough flow rate, no matter the cylinder. 😊 -Jesse

We have put these on tilt rotators, for example here is a quick example: ruclips.net/video/4rm7HAK7lL4/видео.html The amount of shears going to excavators with tilt rotators are constantly increasing, but it brings a set of challenges. You have to push the hydraulics for the shear through the tilt rotator which restricts the amount of pressure and flow, and you can't pull any electric wires for the attachments that use those (mainly collector). But in recent times we have made a wireless "package" that allows the use of the collector without pulling any wires and we also have our own patented Turbo cylinder which can be used with a lower pressure and flow than a normal cylinder. Hi, You can either go with the TMK 200 or TMK 300. Both fit okay to that machine. TMK 200 is little more lighter and smaller but it can only cut 200mm trees. On the other hand TMK 300 can cut up to 300mm trees but it's a little more heavy and bigger. It really comes down to what you need. For the price you can contact me at jesse.koponen@tmktreeshear.com.
