I love how this take really dives into the psychological aspect of writing lyrics for an FNF song, actually inspecting, in this instance, X’s state of mind and what plans he has deep inside stored for boyfriend, but mostly for the player, and not just explaining in what ways he is planning to kill boyfriend. THAT is what the FNF with lyrics community is lacking and needs more of. Poetical type of writing in songs, making you take the time to actually think about the things characters are saying, buried with deeper meaning. This is why I love Sturm’s and your takes on FNF with lyrics songs most
A lot of Funkin' lyricists have done all of what you've said actually, including myself. I don't believe it's "lacking", but with the way you describe it (even though I'm still confused), it's a nice format to read and listen to.

Cause, forgive me for not looking at smaller creators, most just take on the most direct choice of words possible when writing lyrics in FNF, when people like Sturm, Maimy, and maybe RecD take on a psychological approach which gives the characters singing a more complex and layered base. Don’t know why you’re confused though

@@antythyboof6863 Juno Songs might be a good FNF Lyricist that I would recommend, in that case. In particular, when it comes to that psychological exploration that you're seeking from the lyrics, I would point you towards his covers on Alone from MMV2 and Monochrome PERISH MIX from Hypno's Lullaby. Some of his other works may cover those grounds too, but those two songs were the prime examples in my mind.
EDIT: There's also his lyrical cover of Epiphany from DDLC Takeover, which is fittingly just as poetic as you're seeking!
@@mmgmagic Yes, I frequently watch almost all of his FNF lyrical covers and I forgot to mention him. He also took a good spin on Triple Trouble with lyrics as far as I can remember. I can also see him doing All Stars with lyrics as well as he has a good vocabulary and doesn’t abuse the autotune. Will check out Alone I havent heard it

It's very much common for Funkin' lyricists to write lyrics for every syllable to match the notes of the song. Sometimes we also like to skip notes, especially in parts with a lot of notes. This is done either for better flow when singing, or... just because.
Don't get me wrong, lyricists who hit every note also do it good. Like RecD, JokersWild, or Nexus.
The vocals are actually so good, both the image of Sonic as this chill, hope-bringing friend to all and the egotistical gloating of X is so well-portrayed through your voice.
