Sold! When I buy my secondary unit, will definitely consider this. I'll have my tornado for acro, and something like this for cross country. Super cool!
Hi, You lost a little bit thrust with reducer ratio more important. The gain in thrust on a 6-blade is felt less than the gain in comfort. This comfort makes you feel less thrust, but thrust can't be less than a PLUG'n'FLY 3-blade. Maybe you felt also a small lag time for the reactivity of the propeller since it is heavier than the PLUG'n'FLY 2-blade. Try the PLUG'n'FLY 4-blade, you will love it, for sure ! Mateo - E-PROPS
We fly the 6 Blades, It's a great product & has to be flown to be understood, the noise reduction & overly increased comfort due to the smooth character in flight performance makes for a wonderful flight experience. Great product - Highly Recommended Brad Paramotor Training Uk Ukparamotor.com
I'm still saving for my 3 blade .More to damage if you ever have a prop strike..But I'm the type of pilot that has never had a prop strike I throw my self between the ground and paramotor to save it from any damage works great and reason I now have two good props last prop was an E-prop just to up grade and keep up with the cool look anyone need to used 2 blade for a 3 blade?
@@Kyle.Mooney Thanks. I'm getting torque on my 20m wing with the 185+ and 2 blade look prop... Are you still flying with ATL net blades? I just ordered me some to try.
@@JTWardle What unit do you fly? Im flying a fly products units and the torque with a 2 blade moster 185 is hardly even there, the 3 blade adds a little more torque but easily manageable. The ATL Torque fins do indeed work very well! I used them for several years on the nitro and tornado.
@@Kyle.Mooney I'm looking at getting a new unit... I want light and Vittorazi 185. I have the Propulse Titan (Titanium Frame) from Areolight's Javier... Saw your Air Conception and Matt Minyard had some light weight motors with Atom 80. Thinking I might go with a Scout or Gravity Defy. So many options right now!
One Up Adventures thank you! I fly a PAP now with a Moster 185 Plus engine and from what I’ve read, most Vittorazi engines come out of the factory set at the 2.68 reduction ratio. For some reason PAP changes this to 2.87 when they ship their motors. I’m lucky I checked because I’m looking at grabbing an e-prop to replace the Helix prop it came with in the near future. Thanks again!
Different blade/pitch configurations achieve optimum efficiency at different RPMs. I think 6-blades loses some efficiency at high RPM, but feels very efficient at the lower RPMs. It's like having a higher surface area low aspect ratio wing on a plane, great for short take-off and landing but draggy and less efficient at higher speeds. I guess the only way to know for sure it to benchmark against other configurations on a thrust table and at a variety of RPMs. The six blade shines in the midrange, and really shines in giving a Cadillac-like ride that is butter smooth while also being more quiet.
Long awaited video on 6 blade e-prop... Thanks for sharing your candid thoughts guys... Seems like a great cross country option.
Thanks! Cross country and comfort flying is the niche this one fills for sure.

@@oneupadventures5040 also, what engine were you using during your test? I just want to know, to properly judge the noise output
Will consider this prop for sure as I mostly fly long xc, thanks for a great vid
That’s very cool. I bet Dave Ruff would be interested in one of these. I will forward the video on to him. It looks Frigg’n awesome!
You should have a look at the prop they used on the turbo charged paramotorr they used to go over mt Everest.
Awesome looking! Look forward to seeing it
Great video guys. I'm with you on the "LOOKS COOL" opinion. I'd really like to see it on a Scout. Keep the videos coming.
It would look awesome on a Scout Carbon with that huge air duct cage.

Now that's a prop! Would hate to have to try balance it 😂 Be interesting to see how much it effects fuel burn average.
I think I'll stick to 2 blades. I can just about afford to replace them. Thank you for sharing.
LOL Giles!
@@oneupadventures5040 I'm following you both on your channel. Looks like you are both having lots of fun.
Well done,good review :)
Thanks Chad!
Sounds like the 6 blade has a place. old guys like me that plan in flying low and slow, sight seeing, etc ... no acro. :)
oh darn, did still hear me come on set. lol It is quiet for the intimidating look of it though! almost balances out the angry hornets
Miss you hanging out around here with us already Craig!
One Up Adventures aaawww. Thanks fellas!
I miss being there and being able to bug, oh I mean learn from you. I’ll be back!! 🔜
Awesome video! Would you have to change the reduction ratio to use it? Or would that put too much strain on the motor (2.68)
?
Yes the reduction needs to be changed to a 2.87 in order to accomodate the 6 blade prop :)

Let's put it on the table

Fantastic six-pack props now! What about torque? More. Less. Same-ol' torque?
There is more torque for sure. But it is really smooth!

P. S. Brand new wing BGD Luna2 20m...
Definitely has that "Jet Turbo-prop" aurora about it. SHould be smoother, less vibs.
It has that jet/turbo prop feel to it too!
holding out for the 12
Have you guys compared the 2 with the 4 blade?
We have a 4-blade on its way from France so we can do some comparisons!
Seriously all i can see is that honda elite 110 in the background. I have the same one :D But wait, center stand, is this the Elite 110cc?
How's it affect the fuel economy?
This prop only comes in 130 cm for moster 185 right? no 140 version
Yes sir, that's correct!
low fuel consumtion?
Was the video sped up a bit while you guys were flying around with it?? It seemed like you were going ridiculously fast!
Ryan Dinan it was not touched. There was no sped up footage. It’s all in real time.

Only 6? Let's go for 12 ;].

Put that thing on a Bailey 4 stroke, bet you can do acro😎
It's about time we do away with props altogether...they're rediculous.
