Man I have literally 0 idea what that boost slider at the top does or how to calibrate it lol. It felt like the car pulled harder after I clicked it tho but it could all be in my head.
Hey there, great video. I'm actually looking to tune my '20 X2 xDrive28. I've watched people's videos on these devices, but none have baseline numbers on "improved" performance - before activating the device performance data and after. Also, how does this impact BMW's manufacturer's warranty?
Nice. I did another video showing that it shaves off over 2 tenths 0-60 😎. The nice thing about a piggyback is that it’s very easy and convenient to remove, should you need any warranty or servicing. Also, my dealer use to sell Dinan products, so it’s possible some dealers are okay with it. Mine was 👍🏼
You still rocking the Dinan sport? Have mine on the way. Wondering if there is any real reason to be concerned running 91 on Race mode. Sounds like its no problem at all for most. I'm in LA pretty close to sea level. I think its gotta be fine since there are more aggressive stage 1 tunes out there.
Yup, still rockin it 👍🏼 I don’t know, just going off what Dinan recommends. Maybe not the best idea with low octane, up high in the summer lol. Maybe make it a seasonal map?
@@Just1MoreMod Thanks for the quick reply man. Do you know if the app/bluetooth works with the newest IOS software? Im on IOS 14.4, but I actually have an old iPhone 5s on IOS 11. Hope it works with the newer one.

Honestly, not really. Will give you some wonderful wooosh sounds and look cool under the hood. But BMW has done a terrific job with designing efficient intakes the past decade.
will it damage your engine if you don’t use 93 on it? i’m at high altitude if that means anything. i know nothing about cars but i want mine to be faster
Basically this is tricking the ECU to “think you are already at high altitude”. If you only have access to 91 octane and are already up high, I’d recommend using the lowest setting 👍🏼
Anytime you put more boost into your cylinders, it is going to increase knock chance and possible damage. Always use the highest octane you can get if cranking the boost. Altitude lessens the risks a little, less air per same volume.
I just bought a 2018 BMW X1 xDrive28i. It's pretty quick, fastest car I've ever owned. I wanted try one of these tuners, maybe put in a performance CAI, and possibly exhaust. If 228HP stock, I'd like to get close to 300HP. Or should I just take somewhere and get professionally tuned? Anyone can offer opinions. Thanks.
CONGRATS! A flash will get you closer but probably still a little shy of 300, but definitely will cost you much more $$$. An intake is going in soon 😉 Stay tuned!
@@Just1MoreMod Hey thanks for your video, I’ve watched it a couple times over the last year or so as I put the module in my 2019 Mini Cooper S, And now I just watched your video again to put it in my 2022 228 I XDrive Gran Coupe. It is super easy to do and I don’t need to watch a video after I’ve seen it once but on two occasions I have popped that great clip off and lost it down in the engine bay, it can be very finicky. Do you know where I can find these great clips, I can’t find them anywhere and I should be able to get like 100 of them for five bucks lol
Thanks for the video, I’ve watched a couple times each time I install it because I keep on popping the plastic clip off and losing it in the engine bay, does anyone know where I can find spare great clips? Also you said you were going to do the cold air intake which I did on my mini Cooper S which I still have I’m going to put it on my 2022 BMW 228i XDrive Gran Coupe. I had the K& N in my mini Cooper and it was a super easy install, and it sounded amazing especially with the module, I did have turbo boost codes several times with the module. I got a replacement from DINAN under warranty and still had codes and it would throw the car into limp mode. Eventually the dealer replaced the turbo boost module, but I don’t think that was the problem as Dinan has acknowledged that there were some issues with. Batch of modules. The cold air intake from K&N can be found on Amazon for like $250 on sale sometimes. Apparently though like everything else the intake has gotten more expensive, as seen on Amazon now ugh K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: High Performance, Increase Horsepower: Compatible with 2014-2019 BMW/Mini Cooper (X1, X2, Active Tourer, Gran Tourer, Clubman, Countryman, S) L4, 69-2026TTK by Amazon.com Learn more: www.amazon.com/dp/B017J19RJ2/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_P7NK6P6H06TJJK7DE53B

@@Just1MoreMod May I ask what negative things you have heard, the Eventuri intake was what I wanted for my mini Cooper because it actually hooked up to the hood scoop, but it was rather expensive. @@Just1MoreMod also last night I coded the sporty exhaust valve, and I’m currently listening to your video about sport plus which I was going to do anyways. Ironically the Vgate BLE Did not work for the body domain controller and the advanced crash safety module on my F44 2 series. I had been using the OBD link CX which worked beautifully but I lost it🤷🏻♂️, so I ended up getting the Enet for $25, and then a ethernetto USB C adapter and BimmerCode is lightning fast… 10 times quicker than any Bluetooth module it’s lovely

Better gas mileage when driving normal?
About the same if driving normal. A tad worse when you’re having fun... 🤣 obviously.
Is this the 28i or 35i?
28i
would this work well if i didn't have 93 oct
It’ll work just fine, you just won’t be able to use the most aggressive setting. Start low, then try going up one “map” at a time.
