I first heard these songs with a Jewish believer in 1972. I was in the U.S.Army. he was a pacifist, humble guy. He was being bullied by group of Marines. I interdiction. Put him n his mangled bicycle into my jeep. Driving him off-base to his trailer home. Met his Jewish wife .they were listening to this music on a simple phonograph. Both shared their conversion and joy of Jesus Christ. I was humbled. Their obvious love for God and myself. We became friends till orders separated us. I searched for their music overs years, collecting cassettes. My Life forever changed by Jesus Christ!
I am a Korean. When I was 19 years old, I left the Lord and lived for 26 years I used to listen to this song when I was young The Lord made me remember this song, but I didn't think to find it Twenty-six years later, last summer, I moved to a quiet countryside, and the Lord made me find this song again, and I felt him touch my heart when I found it and listened to it I cried and cried, and now I am with the Lord in church The Lord is alive I praise the Lord for coming to me through this song

I don't want to be contentious, not offend anyone. However, these worship songs with their lyrics would touch your deep soul and possessed such anointing that would melt any heart. Todays' worship music with notable exceptions. Even Though has beauty in it, do not produce the same effect. Maybe I'm an old school, but I pray groups like Maranatha may rise again.
Perhaps it has to do with the frequency it was recorded at. Music used to be recorded at 432Hz and now it is 440Hz. Could also be why there is more aggression in the world.
I have found my music. I was there in Costa Mesa in that first tent revival. I was one of the first to set foot into Calvary Chapel. I was there every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights. I remember this songs being created and sung in our worships. Where have I been? I am now 81 years young and tears are streaming down my face... I have to have these songs in my life again... I attended in Atlanta with Laverne Campbell in a basement and school cafeteria back in the early eighties. Miami Campus Life Youth for Christ taught me most of these songs, and then I found Phil Keaggy and 2nd Chapter of Acts, Degarmo and Key Stella Walsh and Keith Green. In 1991 I was humbled and honored to be brought back to the Church that Jesus Christ started with the laying of His Hands on St Peter. Clearly the Catholic Church is under a attack from the Infiltration done by satan. The snake won't waste time on a false church especially now. Thank God for Maranatha and Integrity music. Growing up as a Christian kid in the 80s India,once every few months a gentleman with a suitcase from a recording company would come and lay out 200 cassettes at the back bench of our small church. And we would buy Maranatha Worship and Integrity cassettes. Pure Worship. No lights. No loud overpowering music and the focus was just Worship of Our God. As a Worship leader well into the 2000s, at the same Church, I would still play these songs, along with Scripture in Song and more modern contemporary music. Now living in the West, churches here just don't play this songs and that is so sad. But I am grateful for this community of RUclipsrs across the world who keep the worship of JESUS CHRIST simple, pure, holy, singable and congregational, where everyone could sing loudly and Worship God. Me, too. The things being sung as congregational songs are usually too complicated musically and many lack any real value in message. They kind of sound alike, as well.

I was a 14 year old in October 71. That day my goal was to become the third base of the varsity team of my High School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the afternoon,after the try outs, I herd a group of kids in the Geometry classroom hearing the Story of Stories. I received Him as my Saviour. .. In those years Maranatha songs were a musical companion to these bunch of kids loving the Lord and preaching the gospel of Grace. It's been 52 yrs and we still love Him dearly and praise Him. He is Awsome! And yes I made the varsity team and played a great season, but nothing compared to the awareness of His tender love coming to my school to bring me to Him....

The thing I love about these old-school praise and worship songs is that they incorporate the word of God in them, which a lot of modern praise songs do not. There’s something very powerful about singing the word of God :)

I was in my mid 20’s when I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and God gave me music in my heart. Hearing this Maranatha Worship Songs brings back memories of the past when I was in UAE , Abu-Dhabi ,I became Born Again and baptized. To God be the glory.
I am like many here. I was saved Nov. 7 1976 and baptized leaving the old man of sin in the watery grave and just soaked up all of Maranathas Praise music. I'm 45 and I've been listening to these songs since I was a kid. My mom had a good friend who used to bring casette tapes. His name was Sammy and he went with the Lord early. Those were the days when praise and worship was all about giving reverence to God. Nowadays, most songs are self-centred.

I'm sorry but this is not necessarily true (the worship of God will never leave a child). My sister, as a little girl, worshipped God, memorized Bible verses (got prizes in Sunday school for her Bible verses), would sing and raise her hands during church, we were in church all day/night on Sunday, every Wednesday and any event the church had throughout our entire childhoods, she would "evangelize" her friends... and my sister hates God now that she's an adult. She says the worst, filthiest blasphemies against Him. She has taken up a bi-sexual lifestyle, she does & sells drugs, and I do believe she is doing some sort of web sex cam stuff, but I can't be 100 % sure because I'm sure not going out on the internet to find it lol. I'm telling you this so that way you understand you need to guard your child, keep instilling the Lord in them by example and teaching constantly, because a child can walk away from God at any time. My sister did.

Beautiful! I was saved in 1983 and back then I listened consistently to a cassette tape of Maranatha until I forgot the tape once when staying at the family cottage. It was left inside the boombox and the next time I went to search for it, it was nowhere to be found. I know it was one of my brothers who I had tried to witness to who probably tossed it out. Sad! I was too timid to call him out on it. I am still praying for Father God to send my 3 brothers the laborers Jesus said we could ask of the Father and believe for their salvation in Christ. Amen. The best worship songs I can remember. My father gave each one of us his children a cassette tape, with peace and hope of migrating and working in the United States mid 80’s. These songs gave me strength and hope while feeling homesick far away from my parents. In memory of my loving, most wonderful Father in this world. I miss you so much Dad. Remembering you every single day. See you in heaven.
I cherish these beautiful songs in my heart. I had returned from Trinidad, ill and broken as my husband had to return to the UK having been made redundant due to recession. I had only just got saved. 3 little children and no job. I held their little kids hands and prayed and God gave him a job 350 miles away. We later joined him and God led me to a small Pentecostal Church. These were the anointed songs that my new spiritual family sang each week. They loved and supported us over the years. I thank God for them and for His love and faithfulness. 4 of us are saved now and only waiting for my son and his family to be saved. I am an evangelist for Jesus. GOD BE THE GLORY!

I was probably in my mid 50’s (I am now 84) when I first purchased the double cd set of this album. One was only instrumental and the second was instrumental with vocal. I played it daily several times often offering a dance of praise and worship to our Lord!!! This is probably one of my favorite worship albums of all time!!!

So many of these lyrics come straight from scriptues. A great way to learn the word of God. Happy memories raising my children with Psalty and Maranatha songs and now my children are teaching their children. May Gods word continue to be established in our lives.

I got saved and a week later was baptized on Easter Sunday 1980 in California. I was discipled by Jesus people of the 70’s who played guitar and sang these songs. This music brought the scriptures to life for me. Still fills my heart with a special joy when I hear it.

I was 20 years old and attended a college campus of which had the ONLY gospel based YoungLife, Navigators and Campus Crusade for Christ student extras in the whole nation, at the time. Gave my heart and soul to Lord Jesus Christ on 9/30/73 @ 9:30pm. I'm now about to turn 69 and these songs bring back a flood of glorious memories and oft held bible studies throughout the week. After about 37 years in the Lord, I still come back here to find the Maranatha songs that were most inspiring early in my Christian journey. That should tell you something about the power of God and his anointing on these songs of true worship (and I believe I am not alone in expressing these sentiments) not the light hearted songs we have these days dressed up as worship songs, most regrettably. And one that the Lord started talking to me about these worship songs and made me to compare with some of our modern contemporary worship songs and I felt so bad and empty. For me to realize how far we have come leaving the meaningful foundations of worship as to what we have now. I am not an optimist and opinionated individual, however, the word of God warns us about no leaving the old foundations as they are our reference source of who we are in these times. These songs are so profound, that they get you soaked in an instant anointing and cause you to worship with mercy and grace and power and meaning. I would sing these songs with my young children (ages 5, 4, and 2 1/2) at their bedtime. There would be such a sweet anointing of the Lord as I lifted my voice together with my little lambs in praise and worship.

We are all calling it saved but being saved comes after we have endured to the end discipline ourselves, saving ourselves from the un-toward generation. Only when the Father says Well Done can we say we are truly saved.
I start my fasting and prayer with these songs at home. The worship ushers in the Holy Spirit. I don't even think about eating. I sit and weep with so much joy and love for My Lord Jesus.

I became saved in 1977. I was 24 and had just had my first son a few months before. This was the music I remember from those heady days. My husband noticed the difference in me and was saved 5 days later. The dates were 08/01 & 08/06. God has been so good.

I first heard these songs with a Jewish believer in 1972. I was in the U.S.Army. he was a pacifist, humble guy. He was being bullied by group of Marines. I interdiction. Put him n his mangled bicycle into my jeep. Driving him off-base to his trailer home. Met his Jewish wife .they were listening to this music on a simple phonograph. Both shared their conversion and joy of Jesus Christ. I was humbled. Their obvious love for God and myself. We became friends till orders separated us. I searched for their music overs years, collecting cassettes. My Life forever changed by Jesus Christ!

I don't want to be contentious, not offend anyone. However, these worship songs with their lyrics would touch your deep soul and possessed such anointing that would melt any heart. Todays' worship music with notable exceptions. Even Though has beauty in it, do not produce the same effect. Maybe I'm an old school, but I pray groups like Maranatha may rise again.

Music used to be recorded at 432Hz and now it is 440Hz.

I have found my music. I was there in Costa Mesa in that first tent revival. I was one of the first to set foot into Calvary Chapel. I was there every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights. I remember this songs being created and sung in our worships. Where have I been? I am now 81 years young and tears are streaming down my face... I have to have these songs in my life again... I attended in Atlanta with Laverne Campbell in a basement and school cafeteria back in the early eighties. Miami Campus Life Youth for Christ taught me most of these songs, and then I found Phil Keaggy and 2nd Chapter of Acts, Degarmo and Key Stella Walsh and Keith Green.
In 1991 I was humbled and honored to be brought back to the Church that Jesus Christ started with the laying of His Hands on St Peter.
Clearly the Catholic Church is under a attack from the Infiltration done by satan. The snake won't waste time on a false church especially now. For whoever is paying attention, that should speak Volumes 🤔

As a 75 year old I agree. We were young, with young families, and we were discovering the Lord. Oh the energy we had.
I'm 61years old listening to this song's i feel inner peace.
Thank God for Maranatha and Integrity music. Growing up as a Christian kid in the 80s India,once every few months a gentleman with a suitcase from a recording company would come and lay out 200 cassettes at the back bench of our small church. And we would buy Maranatha Worship and Integrity cassettes. Pure Worship. No lights. No loud overpowering music and the focus was just Worship of Our God. As a Worship leader well into the 2000s, at the same Church, I would still play these songs, along with Scripture in Song and more modern contemporary music.
Now living in the West, churches here just don't play this songs and that is so sad. But I am grateful for this community of RUclipsrs across the world who keep the worship of JESUS CHRIST simple, pure, holy, singable and congregational, where everyone could sing loudly and Worship God. I was a 14 year old in October 71. That day my goal was to become the third base of the varsity team of my High School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the afternoon,after the try outs, I herd a group of kids in the Geometry classroom hearing the Story of Stories. I received Him as my Saviour. .. In those years Maranatha songs were a musical companion to these bunch of kids loving the Lord and preaching the gospel of Grace. It's been 52 yrs and we still love Him dearly and praise Him. He is Awsome! And yes I made the varsity team and played a great season, but nothing compared to the awareness of His tender love coming to my school to bring me to Him....

The thing I love about these old-school praise and worship songs is that they incorporate the word of God in them, which a lot of modern praise songs do not. There’s something very powerful about singing the word of God :)

I was in my mid 20’s when I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and God gave me music in my heart. Hearing this Maranatha Worship Songs brings back memories of the past when I was in UAE , Abu-Dhabi ,I became Born Again and baptized. To God be the glory.
I am like many here. I was saved Nov. 7 1976 and baptized leaving the old man of sin in the watery grave and just soaked up all of Maranathas Praise music.
It helped me as a young man to keep surrendered to Jesus our Lord even through the struggles of being a young Christian endeavoring to leave that old darkness and stepping into the glorious light.

I was a young African American girl going to Crenshaw Christian Center and Calvary Chapel Golden Springs with Raul Ries when I heard these songs! I love how they put the Word to music. I'm sorry but this is not necessarily true (the worship of God will never leave a child). My sister, as a little girl, worshipped God, memorized Bible verses (got prizes in Sunday school for her Bible verses), would sing and raise her hands during church, we were in church all day/night on Sunday, every Wednesday and any event the church had throughout our entire childhoods, she would "evangelize" her friends... and my sister hates God now that she's an adult. She says the worst, filthiest blasphemies against Him. She has taken up a bi-sexual lifestyle, she does & sells drugs, and I do believe she is doing some sort of web sex cam stuff, but I can't be 100 % sure because I'm sure not going out on the internet to find it lol. I'm telling you this so that way you understand you need to guard your child, keep instilling the Lord in them by example and teaching constantly, because a child can walk away from God at any time. My sister did.

Beautiful! I was saved in 1983 and back then I listened consistently to a cassette tape of Maranatha until I forgot the tape once when staying at the family cottage. It was left inside the boombox and the next time I went to search for it, it was nowhere to be found. I know it was one of my brothers who I had tried to witness to who probably tossed it out. Sad! I was too timid to call him out on it. I am still praying for Father God to send my 3 brothers the laborers Jesus said we could ask of the Father and believe for their salvation in Christ. Amen. I cherish these beautiful songs in my heart. I had returned from Trinidad, ill and broken as my husband had to return to the UK having been made redundant due to recession. I had only just got saved. 3 little children and no job. I held their little kids hands and prayed and God gave him a job 350 miles away. We later joined him and God led me to a small Pentecostal Church. These were the anointed songs that my new spiritual family sang each week. They loved and supported us over the years. I was probably in my mid 50’s (I am now 84) when I first purchased the double cd set of this album. One was only instrumental and the second was instrumental with vocal. I played it daily several times often offering a dance of praise and worship to our Lord!!! This is probably one of my favorite worship

Nothing compares with these songs. I was in high school when I started listening before my prayer time . I still listen to them Reminds me of those good old days. Nothing like it today.
So many of these lyrics come straight from scriptues. A great way to learn the word of God. Happy memories raising my children with Psalty and Maranatha songs and now my children are teaching their children. May Gods word continue to be established in our lives.

I got saved and a week later was baptized on Easter Sunday 1980 in California. I was discipled by Jesus people of the 70’s who played guitar and sang these songs. This music brought the scriptures to life for me. Still fills my heart with a special joy when I hear it.

Gave my heart and soul to Lord Jesus Christ on 9/30/73 @ 9:30pm. I'm now about to turn 69 and these songs bring back a flood of glorious memories and oft held bible studies throughout the week. And one that the Lord started talking to me about these worship songs and made me to compare with some of our modern contemporary worship songs and I felt so bad and empty. For me to realize how far we have come leaving the meaningful foundations of worship as to what we have now. I am not an optimist and opinionated individual, however, the word of God warns us about no leaving the old foundations as they are our reference source of who we are in these times. These songs are so profound, that they get you soaked in an instant anointing and cause you to worship with mercy and grace and power and meaning. I also use my God given inspired poetry for God's glory to recognise the intricacy and wonderful beauty of life that is here on Earth in many forms. When we can connect with true beauty with Love we can find appreciation and Grace. When we can connect with Grace we are blessed with Faith and Faith gives Hope for Life.

We are all calling it saved but being saved comes after we have endured to the end discipline ourselves, saving ourselves from the un-toward generation. Only when the Father says Well Done can we say we are truly saved.

I became saved in 1977. I was 24 and had just had my first son a few months before. This was the music I remember from those heady days. My husband noticed the difference in me and was saved 5 days later. The dates were 08/01 & 08/06. God has been so good.
