  • The horns of the Baltimore Metro Subwaylink, including a brief clip of the air horn and many clips of the beeper (similar to the BART legacy fleet electronic horn). Baltimore is a tough town with worn-out cars, but these Budd cars still use BART technology such as Westinghouse chopper control. Replacements are on the horizon - but even then, the order is for fewer cars - the subway is but one line and the ridership is low - a subway that never really became what it was supposed to be.
Clips taken May 2024 (up to 1:50) and January 2020 (1:50 onwards).

I never knew this subway train system existed until now. They sound like the C cars but it’s more high pitched and they almost sound exactly like the BART legacy fleet.

These cars were also fitted equipped with the Nathan P2 air horns from the under frames.
