Thanks to spearfishingst... for supporting me on this adventure.
Great production. Great fishing... I already feel the need to re-visit and bag a Pinto.
Absolutely! Pinto's are underrated 😀
Congrats for these fishs, sea bream and bass. You's lucky with weather and sea. Thanks you for your videos
Thanks Javier :)
Great fishing! Those big gar are brilliant eating and they fillet off really well at that size!
Very good video! Here in the Mediterranean sargos are almost always catched In caves! Happy that you had a good time in Spain :)
Fishing that some of us only dream of. Nice one Joe!
Very nice trip! I would love to dive and spearfish in Spain and Portugal!
As soon as I saw the first aerial shot I knew where you were, amazing! I've spent all my summers in that area, glad you were able to experience it and caught some nice fish!
Great video Joe. Looked like a really nice trip and I am sure a little warmer than the Norway one :p Thanks Ben
Nice one Joe. You and Dan Mann got me into this sport, loving it. We get bream down here in Victoria, Australia but they look a bit different, taste great. Looking forward to your next one!!
great video mate! Matt has really built up the knowledge while sailing in Spain to find and hunt these sargos :)
Bienvenido a Galicia. Me he alegrado de verte por mis aguas. Un saludo.
¡Muchas gracias por compartir!
Looks a great trip Joe!
awesome stuff Joe! looks like you and Matt had a great time over there, some cracking fish caught 😁😎
Great video making job.
Never seen such fishy sea....
Nice one Jo : ) we sailed right past that spot last year on the way back to the UK/Holland last August but couldn't stop because we didn't have a dingy at that point and its a bit dodgy anchoring and leaving the boat out there. If only I knew what was lurking in those waters !!!!!!!! Damn !!
There is so much fish it seems like you are diving in an aquarium 😄 good job joe
Tis so good to see so much life around👌
This was a great one......
Living the dream!
Muy buen video!! El pulpo un poco pequeño pero seguro que estaba muy bueno!
Nice place for spearfishing and nice seabass, congrats!
Thanks it is indeed a beautiful place!
Great video! Subscribed. Happy to see that you enjoyed your time spearfishing in Spain :). Those are the coldest waters of our country! Hope to see you spearfishing our side of the Mediterranean soon. We could arrange something if you where to come in the area!
Seems like you had a lot of fun in Spain! You certainly choosed well, as Galicia is the best area for big bream, seabass and pintos... although there are as many species as in Asturias, Cantabria or Pais Vasco (where I am located). Seas are usually rough and having a boat helps a lot. Great video!
Very nice mate 🤙 loads of bass here allso now got my PB spidercrab 1.8kg (4lb) southwest Ireland is very good for fish now
Well done mate 😀
Can you share some of your tips and tricks with newbie?
@@tanigurgur7209 aim and shoot 🤔 no suden movements, take your time.. try to find weedy area with tunnels made from weeds bass loves swiming in them
@@arunasv.5359 Can I fart underwater?
@@tanigurgur7209 yes realy good if you want to atract bass 👍
Galicia=Fishing hope you had fun!
Good catch and great video Joe! I was sorry to watch your "unsuccessful" trip to Norway with Dan & crew...but Norway is an awesome country for spearfishing. By the way, an octopus is one of my favourite seafood....watching you having this freshly caught baby makes my mouth watering :-)
The Pulpo is insane in Galicia. Currently cycle touring through Asturias and Galicia and was wishing I had my spearfishing stuff with me!
good job!
Fantastic!
Oh nooooo XO
What are you doing Joe? :D
you.... shot.... an octopus!
haven't you seen the film "my octopus teacher"? :'-O
love your vids anyways.
Yes I have seen the film and loved it! Thanks Stibä :)
Hi Joe hope you have a cracking time
Hi Joe, Next time you have to try in the north cost of Ria de Arousa,... not only in the south,... we have very interesting places near Cabo Corrubedo where you can get some nice sargo over two kilos, if you are in the correct day.......
Thanks for the advice!
amazing
wowwwww nice video idol
Sailing boat looks incredible 😎. Does the new job allow more time off than before? Look forward to next video.
Yes more time... lots of plans :)
Heller video buck
Yum some bey
White bream :)
👍👍👍
Awesome video joe. Off to Australia next?
Haha! Maybe one day... But other places first
Well done jo Why is it your fish look tiny when you are under water shooting them and massive on the boat and my fish look massive in the water and small on the boat 😂🤣😂. You did well. Don’t like metal smell of gar fish. But what a shot 👍👍👍👍
I was very surprised I hit it !
Great editing Joe.I've never saw a Sargo bigger than one kilo, very tasty fish.I bet the locals are very friendly and welcoming.can you tell me whats the water temperature Joe?do you wear a 7 mm wetsuit?
Yes all the locals were very friendly for sure. The water was 14-15 degrees, so I was in full 7mm
👌🇪🇸🤙🤗
My iPad lit up my bedroom in the middle of the night. RUclips notification. I tried going back to sleep, but a new vid from Joe wouldn’t let me. Gotta turn that off!
I'm v sorry Mr Weeks! Hope it was worth the early wake up 😱😍😘
@@JoePkSpearfishing always worth it.
HI Joe! how did you manage to get a Spanish Spearfishing License remotely? or you had one from a previous visit?. I know this is a must have in Pais Vasco (euskadi). which is always a pain when visting Spain, as you need to use some of your holiday time to do the paperwork, collect the card, etc
Cheers
Ramsey
We had an entire day to sort logistics as day one was properly stormy! Well worth it though as the following 3 days were epic adventure 👌
Lovely video Joe. But why not kill your fish / garfish quickly, soon after you catch them.
I did put a knife straight through its brain, fish do sometimes wiggle a bit still...
Interesting you mention the foraging licence (surf fishing) but nothing about spearfishing which comes under Spanish hunting law and liability insurance requirements (not that I care as most here do not fish off boats with correct licence).
That is not how you cook pulpo, throwing it in a pressure cooker?! You have to dunk it in boiling water several times before actually cooking it. The skin is tearing off, the texture looks awful and not soft like a well cooked pulpo would be. Pulpo is is one of my favorite foods to eat here in Spain and that looks inedible. Sorry for you bud, next time get a Spanish guide. Still, dope adventure.
why are u shooting the big breeding bass thats ridiculous
Hi this bass was just 3kg, no big ones seen but maybe next time!
